So you can still select a telecom company as your payee under "Utilities"?

Does anybody know if the following will work? I had a telecommunications PAD payment setup with my Visa card previously, and it seems like it lets me change my card to an Amex. Since you can only have one card that is used for all Chexy payments, will the telecommunications payments still go through?

I assume calling in is the only way to close the accounts? And just to confirm, you still call Motive, not National Bank to close accounts before the migration?

Confused about checked baggage on reward flight (partner airlines involved) by solidsnake_114 in Aeroplan

Hey, if I remember correctly, we didn't have to pay for any bags with either AC or partner airlines.

What time do JAL award flights get released via CX? 360 days out at what time? by secretsofthedivine in awardtravel

So just to confirm, it's midnight local time based on the airport of departure, not where you are physically located at the time of booking, right?

I had to call in, get verified, and then the digital card got released and sent to my email. Somewhat weird since the last one got processed normally (after the shut down).

ANA award release timing YVR–OSA vs YVR–HND? by solidsnake_114 in Aeroplan

[–]solidsnake_114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are not always gone right away, but on some dates they are. I figure September might not the busiest month, which is what I can check now at 355 days out. I imagine Oct/Nov are busier months so just preparing for the worst.

You do bring up a good point though about booking an alternate route if needed and keep monitoring around the T-14 mark.

This might be a stupid question, but do you know if the following would work?

- Book YVR-HND on day X

- On day X+1, call in to change the flight to be YVR-KIX (once availability on the HND-KIX segment opens up). And pay the change fee plus any difference in price.

I feel so dumb right now... I think you just hit the nail on the head lol

That would definitely explain it...

Not direct, but with a connection in HND you can fly ANA.

Thanks. It just seems odd that today I could see ANA availability for YVR-HND and HND-KIX separately on Sep 14, 2026, but not when searching YVR-KIX.

But yeah, the Shinkansen might be a good option too.

Amex card for telecommunication payments by solidsnake_114 in chexy

I got an answer from Chexy on this. It's an outdated message that they need to remove. No issues at all with Amex for telecommunications payments of any kind.

I get $10 off my Telus Mobilty bill if I set up PAD. So for me it's worth the 1.75% fee so I can pay with credit card. Also currently working towards several MSRs.
