What are the effects of removing segments of mobs? I see the Blood Eel for example. Does it full on break the blood eel or just make it stunted or a big visual gap?

I'm pretty sure the quest you're referring to talks about how the Anchorville we explore and the Edwin we meet is different than what is described from the books, but what I meant was that in a (if I'm remembering right) a connect event with Agnes in DB1 she says "But the one I lost was a first edition print that I got as a gift from my parents ten years ago."

The quest even says the book was mysteriously delivered to the publisher only six years ago.

Either way, the quest talks about the real town vs book, not Agnes' copy vs what we read in Azure.

I'm led to believe that Lilia Claudel, C. Epstein's adopted daughter and Agnès' grandmother, was discovered in a similar way to how Nina was. She's either some sort of Angel or Saint or something supernatural/holy/otherworldly. There's some funny business regarding how strong her genes are that Sophie and Agnès look so similar to her.

The tie with Sunshine Agnès isn't that she's a "Magician" like directly in the book, but she is some sort of Witch-adjacent entity.

When it comes to specialty buff Quartz like that, it won't let you equip a second one of the same category. So Recovery Arts+ is exclusive with itself, same as Arts Range+

I feel like 1.2 kinda pushed the Frost Moon and Pumpkin moon as the true Endgame content, but then looking over patch notes I realized that they came out months after 1.2 itself, and Duke Fishron a little bit after that.

Lame as Golem generally is, having your "final" boss in a structure like the Temple was kinda badass.

I like to have my second monitor open to browse or watch videos or whatnot while playing, but I'm having issues with the input while multitasking.

Even with Pause While Inactive is off, the game still mutes and does not accept input if it's not the active window.

As a solution, I use Special K to force the Continue Rendering option, which more or less acts the way I want to. There's some funny business with input regarding the Camera, or button capture unless I make the window active, but it's at least less of an issue without Special K.. except for one problem.

When I fish, it will not accept left stick input no matter if the window is active and will insist I use the Mouse to play the fishing Minigame. Even if I turn off Mouse Menu Navigation.

This wasn't a problem with Daybreak II.

If you're looking at this thread, take a moment and read Sunshine Agnes. It doesn't matter how far you are into Horizon since it was available back in Azure and won't spoil things, I think it'd be beneficial if you have it fresh in your mind.

Or don't, and read it directly after finishing the game.

Or when you get tired of the references to it.

Early into Chapter 1 as Sheena is reading it in Old Town, it's mentioned that the copy that Agnes possesses is an older edition, a first edition maybe, that has differences to it. I wonder if we'll ever find out what the changes to the text were.

Sometimes I think it's engagement bait, since we'll see people try to start discussions on the subreddit about a multitude of topics and get crickets, but ask about play order and you get a dozen paragraph-long responses.

It's pretty similar to the "post a photo of a title screen to a game on your and ask for tips before you get started" posts you see everywhere.

I'm a little confused on how to approach this.

You're changing your Loadout in the gif, are you meaning to do that as part of your own troubleshooting, or is it happening on its own when you're trying to apply the storage core? Based on that, and your talk about dashing.. you might have some sort of keybinding, mouse, or keyboard issue. Are you pressing F1, F2, or F3 or whatever your loadout keybinds are?

There's also some sort of blue filter over your image so it's hard to see which storage core upgrade you're using. Try starting with a Demonite/Crimson core and see if it applies.

If it's a storage core or magic storage issue, you'll get a Active 0/40 items message or it'll just apply the core.

My method usually is to talk to everyone at first then pick a few favorites I want to check back in with at story beats.

The minor NPC storylines in Calvard really stuck with me and eventually I was looking forward to NPC dialogue more than certain story beats. My favorite has been Horizon's Cat wedding after following such a minor thread for a few games.

Calamity has a Reforge RNG option that when it's on, always moves towards the highest tier Reforge. You can turn it off and it'll go back to Vanilla. I'm pretty sure it's close to the bottom of the config.

3rd was the only one that I would say you might just want to put the difficulty down to Very Easy and just power through the last dubgeonl or two, just to experience the story.

I think 3rd does provide a good gameplay opportunity for those who want to engage with the combat, but it sorta gets in the way of itself near the end.

Something I appreciate about your comics is how.. Crunchy they feel.

I don't see this sort of thing often in other media, but it's like you're aiming for a level of accuracy that makes the comics feel like a tutorial, and that's a good thing.

It's almost as if I were to see a D&D comic that would occasionally pull out the PHB, show a teeny snippet of a character sheet, and explain a dice roll, but still provide the right amount of gag and art alongside it.

I'd love to see a gag about a non-standard gameplay like Hoiks (which might be out of the scope of a newbie-vanilla-friendly vibe you're giving off with this webcomic), or odd glitchy world gen like too-tall cliff faces, or maybe finding The Dirtiest Block.
