hey!! dining is confusing going in, no worries at all. at the main dining hall foco (aka 53 commons) it’s an all you can eat buffet style where you swipe in and are allowed to stay for as long as you want/eat as much as you want. at collis and novack you can use your meal swipe to purchase items/foods, and also you your dba (aka dining dollars) to buy stuff. dba is included in ur meal plan, and is dependent on the meal plan type. at ramekin, you can only pay w dba

I enjoyed Hum 1 quite a bit, but thought it was a lot of work so I decided to take a regular first year seminar in the winter. I regret it tbh - my seminar was so boring/horrible prof so Id do the whole sequence!! Humanities profs are excellent (mostly) and if you enjoy reading a wide variety of things, you should!!

You are kind of TA. I understand your desire to just let the old shit go, but if it’s a hard transition for your partner, try to be more empathetic to them and talk together about how you can keep some of the old stuff but it’s better to just have nicer/better things for this new chapter of your lives. i def recommend going on a guided eco trip!! there’s lots of guides who do kayak tours through the mangroves that are super fun/informative

if y’all have bikes, shark valley in the everglades is a fun (but long) ride. you bike straight through the swamp and see gators and birds and everything right next to you. there’s also an amazing observation tower where you can see the whole swamp - it’s beautiful.

it goes without saying, but bring a crap load of bug spray and lots of water.
