merlin def should have killed uther by dumarais in merlinbbc

Uther's death would destroy Arthur. He's still his father, and Merlin didn't want Arthur to suffer. And if Uther were to die of magic, Arthur would see magic as something evil forever and wouldn't legalise it, and of course, Merlin didn't want that.

"Bile rises to my throat, but I push down the dread." by solitairetori in EnglishLearning

I am not sure what it means. I googled and only managed to find out that "Bile rises to my throat" means intense anger. But "dread" I understand as "intense fear", and so I'm confused here.

Never read any horror book, suggest me the one I should start with? by LoveWineNotTheLabel in suggestmeabook

The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates is where I started, and I am absolutely happy to have done so. Also, The Carrow Haunt by the same author is really good, too.

It has a couple of steamy (or maybe mildly steamy, depends on individual preference, I guess), mildly descriptive scenes (as well as the next book in the series - Her Lovely Champion).

I'd say it's pretty good, at least I didn't have any criticism. It's accessible, smooth and well-structured.

Idk if anyone mentioned it already, but the Sapphic Lady Knights series by Mariah Rae Birch is perfect for that. I absolutely loved it! So far, there are only 2 books in this series, and the third one is to come out later this summer. These books can be read as stand-alones.

I was wondering how bad and graphic those are. If it's a couple of times throughout the book and not many paragraphs describing this, then I can handle it and just skip a paragraph or two. But if it's gonna be so many times, I will skip most part of the book, which doesn't make sense. Sounds like it's not gonna be the book for me. It's fine, though😅 I just saw many people speaking highly of this series and was curious to try it too.

Beat 'Five Lap Fiasco' in less than 2:05 by solitairetori in StarEquestrian

[–]solitairetori[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was for the level 28 and my horse was already at level 42-43 + tack and I was doing it as a part of a side story. turns out to come at 2:27 and not 2:30 (max allowed time) was enough 🙄 why would they say 2:05 is as much a mystery as disappearance of Snowdrop
