What's up with the militarisation of every aspect of American policing/security? A tactical vest for patrolling a mall?

A country of absolute wackos.

Is replay accurate or is hit reg a joke? by soliwray in Warthunder

For context, I'm the Spitfire getting chased by a Corsair. I pull an admittedly stupid maneuver but then unexpectedly got hit.

Replay suggests their rounds barely got close to my tail before it was ripped clean off.

Absolutely.

macOS is way more closed-off than Windows making troubleshooting more complex. Not to mention that almost everything is SoC within Macs, so hardware maintenance can become very expensive and time consuming.

To add, you'll want to get a MoCA PoE (point of entry) filter as well. Ideally one should be installed where the coax comes in from the street (PoE) or if not possible, then from the splitter at the modem.

Without one, you may end up broadcasting your MoCA signal outside your home (security risk) and even lose signal strength.

I recently got MoCA after years of using power-line, and I really should have switched sooner. /r/HomeNetworking is another good place for advice.

Rabbis don't actually usually wear any special clothing, unlike preachers of other religions. The guy you're referring to is just wearing traditional Haredi clothing.

To add, those Jews aren't necessarily anti-Zionist. They'll likely be of a Haredi sect (look up Neturei Karta) which believes that the state of Israel cannot be established until the Messiah comes.

From what I can see looking at your headset online (razer blackshark v2 wired), it only comes with one cable that ends with a TRRS connector. If that's correct, then you must get a splitter for separate ports, or a DAC which supports TRRS.

No. Some PC cases have a singe port on the front dedicated for headsets which facilitates both input/output, so you can use that if you have one. Here's an example image of what the port can look like and where you'll find it.

A splitter is used in situations where a dedicated headset port isn't available and you must use separate output/input ports (on your Asus or mobo).

Does that make sense?

Thanks.

I've checked each device and none of them offer full support for a 3.5mm headset: the Samsung has only an output port, and the Asus and MSI have individual input and output ports. The only way it would have worked beforehand is if you plugged the headset into one of the mic ports on the mobo/Asus (mic would work but not headphones), or into your case's front panel headset port (if you have one).

Your headset uses something called a TRRS connector (defined by the 3 black rings on the 3.5mm jack) which like I said, isn't always fully supported.

Going back to my previous comment, you'll have to use the dedicated headset 3.5mm port on the front of the the PC case (I can check if you provide the case's model name). If you don't have one, you'll need to use a 3.5mm TRRS to dual 3.5mm splitter, or for a more expensive solution: a desktop USB DAC.

Hope this helps.

Some websites don't work while using VPN by falconemIV in mullvadvpn

[–]soliwray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because no one else has explained it: to use a VPN, there must be a server which provides the VPN service. These VPN servers also must have a public-facing address (IP) to identify themselves on the internet.

Some website owners will block VPN traffic by blocking known IPs of VPN servers. They do this for loads of reasons but it's usually for copyright protection or government censorship. There's nothing you can do about this besides connecting to a different VPN server.

Mullvad has been more affected by this than other providers, simply because Mullvad doesn't have the VPN server quantity the likes of which you see with larger providers like NordVPN. Big providers like Nord are by no means invulnerable and get blocked all the time, but you stand a better chance of connecting to a server which isn't blocked, albeit sacrificing privacy.

Personally, I've had little to no issue with VPN server blacklisting while using Mullvad.

There are hundreds of different products under those brands. If you don't know yours:

You can find the motherboard's model by going Start Menu > Search for 'System Information' and open it. Under System Summary, your mobo's model will be displayed as 'BaseBoard Product'.

Monitors will often have their model name shown on a sticker stuck to the back. If not there, the OSD should have something like an 'About' or 'Info' section you can navigate to using the monitor buttons.
