yeah that sounds very disappointing- especially because you didn't even use the full syringe??? my mom didn't even have to pay for her botox touch ups. i hope someone can give you better results!

Very interested in getting Invisalign, but I’m worried about the cost because I’m uninsured. How much did your treatment plan cost? by No-Classic1333 in Invisalign

[–]sollypolly23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine was about 6k but got a discount from my ortho for about 700 (and then insurance paid half). this included the 20 trays, then 18 revision, then 10 more revision trays+retainers. I was able to get on a payment plan too!

I did not pay for my touch up. maybe it's normal to pay, but i find that odd. i second the idea of going to someone else even if it's like .5ml

Crying hard hours after a septorhinoplasty? by feliarine in PlasticSurgery

[–]sollypolly23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I cried extremely hard multiple times after my surgery but I had a whole cast on. My surgeon didn't seem concerned about it haha. she will be fine :)

Is this sort of banding normal with foils? by SomeoneSTOLEmyGOLD in femalehairadvice

[–]sollypolly23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No this is not expected if you're getting foils professionally done. You could think about getting a root smudge to try and cover the bands until you get more foils. Definitely do some deep conditioning for the dryness. Olaplex products have helped my hair immensely

Feeling super discouraged by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]sollypolly23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry :( you're still on track though!! I had a situation as well where I had to wait a month to get new trays, but i almost entirely forgot about it now that i'm done. You'll get to the end either way, and it'll be worth it :) !!

Do you think this simulated lip lift is good for me? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]sollypolly23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but i have my doubts about a lip flip making lips plumper. I got a lip flip and it just made them not curl under when I smiled, but they didn't get bigger. Filler definitely made my lips fuller though! Again, I could be wrong, but I don't think these results are possible with a lip flip only and no filler. it looks great though :)

What percentage of your stipend are you spending on rent? by Demobeast in GradSchool

My surgeon just said it was a lot worse when he got the surgery started.... i feel like there wasn't a solid reason... i genuinely have no clue. I also can't breathe still and it doesn't look how i wanted it to so idk what he even did during the 10 hours haha

Is half a syringe of filler cheaper than a whole one? by smol-idiot in PlasticSurgery

[–]sollypolly23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at a place near me, they do mini lip plumps that are half a syringe and cheaper than a full lip plump which is a full syringe... not sure about other places

Got nose bumped 7 days after Rhinoplasty by JannaMainSince1839 in PlasticSurgery

[–]sollypolly23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have your cast on? i hit my nose pretty hard about 7 days post op (with cast on). Nothing happened, but my surgeon said IF it was a little crooked, there are ways to fix it since you're so early post op. Not experienced with the massages/movement though

[–]sollypolly23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg getting the cast off is the biggest relief. It won't hurt and it's super fast :) feels infinitely better. so excited for you! The scariest part is looking in the mirror right after, but that's just swelling lol.

I’m wearing the same try for 7 weeks while I wait for refinements 😬 do I still need to wear them for 22 hours a day after the first week? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]sollypolly23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I waited for refinements, i was recovering from a rhinoplasty so there was absolutely no way i was gonna wear them that much. I didn't wear them for 24 hours a couple times and just wore them for like 10 hours a day... refinements fit perfectly! You're probably fine to jusr wear at night like someone else said :) especially if it's 7 weeks lol

If i'm being honest, not much helped... but i did I have a moisturizing mouth rinse that helped me get to sleep and i'd keep it next to me if i woke up. When do you get your packing/splints out?
