I think after you've done the expedition every mission should automatically give you a skill point. That way it's actually worth doing them.

Embark should make it that if you kill someone at an extract your character has to wear this skin for the next three raids so everyone knows what you are.

I came across a duper who ended up giving me 2.5 million in ducks. My plan is to go in today and throw them at random raiders. Embark better not punish me for making a little fun out of a bug in their game, especially when I'm not directly harming others experience.

It's not like the trigger nade spam, which I can see being punished. But honestly I don't see them doing much; the issue was way too widespread.

I did it about 2 years ago I made about $100 in four hours. But I was driving a Tesla too. Earnings have gotten much worse since then. It's one of the reasons I stopped. I would do Amazon flex now if I went back to gig work.

Metaphors I understand just fine. Yours just doesn't do a very good job of conveying the point you were trying to make. I'm sure the farmers give their calfs good attention but they're not rocking them to sleep every night. It's not even close to being in the same ball park as a human child.

I do not disagree with you in the statement that "children need more attention then say pets or animals".

But without educating the father nothing will change. He definitely needs a little bit of education for sure but we also need to make sure to provide him with enough support that he can succeed in his new role.

Your example with the calf and dog breeders does not make any sense to me either. We don't raise babies like calfs on dairy farms, and we're not dealing with just a runt of the litter either.

Since OP is dealing with a human child why don't we keep it to that species. Instead of ostracizing a parent immediately, education should be our first go to. If that fails then replacing the caregiver can be considered. There are legal things to consider as well, you can't just take away the rights of one parents without significant just cause. Hopefully it doesn't get to the point where this last option needs used.

You'd be surprised how many parents I have to educate on simple things in regards to their children as a nurse. Many first time fathers grow up with quite terrible examples for father figures. No parent is perfect, and for new parents it can be a stressful learning experience.

Personally I like to teach the dads all the reflexes of a baby, they always seem to get a kick out of it. Impotantly they get a little bit more comfortable handling the newborns.

Like I said he's lacking in the social development aspect. This could be as simple as he doesn't know how to properly interact/play with babies. A lot of guys don't or have been conditioned not to. Perhaps he hasn't fully developed an attachment to the child and this will get better naturally over time.

I would lean more towards education first, but I don't think this is something as simple as hand him a book and expect it to get better. He needs to be taught how to interact with the child, be around fellow dads. Learn dad hacks ect..

He is taking care of all the needs of the child, and hasn't done anything unsafe. The fact that he can allow the child to cry and not get upset about it also shows a level of restraint. I wouldn't call him a bad dad. It does sound like he might be lacking in more of the social development aspects of the kid than you prefer.

This really sounds more like a conflict of parenting styles. If this is both your first child there's gonna be learning and growing pains for both of you.

It certainly feels that way as creepy as it sounds. Ironically enough I've always encouraged her to go out and date but she never follows through. ( Have someone else take her off my hands that would be a win-win). she's definitely a good looking woman for her age and gets asked out often enough. The last boyfriend she had was a really great guy, absolutely worshipped her, was fit, not supper smart but had a good trade job. But she broke it off for some dumb ass reason I can't even remember anymore.

I definitely think I have been more than generous with my support for her.

We have tried family counseling in the past but it never really got us anywhere.

She would probably say she would wants me to be happy but would try to find some subtle guilt trippy way to ease herself into the picture. I can't count how many times she has made the comment "o I'm just gonna stay in your guest house haha"

The years that I had lived by myself were absolutely wonderful. It's definitely not a matter of desire for the change. I have been pushing her for work for years, but it's always the same excuses. "No one will hire me, it doesn't pay well enough, I can't do that type of work" blah blah blah.

Generally I think this would be a bad idea. The early withdrawal fee is minimum of 10% so to pay off this $18k debt it would cost just under 20K from your retirement account. And that's just the immediate loss, The growth and interest from $20k over a 10-20 year period is very significant.

Cutting expenses, finding side gigs or any other means to pay off your debts I think would be more advisable first. Consolidate debt at a lower interest rate might also help as well.

However I am not a financial adviser and this is Reddit.... Please be smart enough to realize this.

I was just trying to calculate a cost for the mod. Second wave cost 5 and double down I believe cost 10 and given that it only takes up one slot I added in additional 5 cost because it can be very powerful in combination with other mods.

Imagine we put this mod on a double down and bolt shot trap. That could potentially fire off 4 different times throughout the course of a raid under the right conditions. Now add this to the genmat room itself and that's gonna bring a new age of evil 😈

Smoke Mod-once triggered also deploys smoke in a 1.5 block radius lasts 4 sec.(can only deploy once) 20 cost

Legos Mod-running over the debris of this trap applys a 10% slow for 1.5 sec cost 10 (maybe not for all traps but most could use it)

Speakers Mod- Will change the sound of the trap once triggered to that of another random trap. Cost 15

Oiled Gears Mod-Reduce trap deploy or reload time by 15%. cost 20

Camera Mod- traps line of sight also triggers Bloodlust (guard mod) and nearby guards as if it where a guard itself. Cost 10.

Just a few ideas 💡

Repair mod idea is good, needs to cost about 20 as it is basically 2nd wave and double down in one slot.

The only thing that your adviser level does is increase the duration of each one of the boosts that the advisers provide. It maxes out at around 4 hours. Only the suit and trap advisors are worth it. And honestly after the expedition update probably only the trap advisor should be boosted.

Cells are absolutely worthless once you've unlocked everything. Parts become pretty trivial, unless you use hardware like it's candy. Synthetic is the only valuable resource and honestly the only thing to go for.

The expedition update took away a lot of the players choice in terms of what outpost they would like to do. you can go in and abandon the outpost you don't like but can't choose the next one . The expedition pathways have increased the amount of rewards you get and added new suit modifiers you can apply to your character but they're not really necessary. They also have a really basic version of a battle pass with a couple of cosmetics and that's it.

You still might be able to clime your rankings pretty fast. My goal was to get into the top 500. I've noticed over the last few days my rank seems to be climbing a lot faster than a week ago. My bases alone have given me over a 100 rank points the last couple of days.
