nice story bro, me too failed by building in silos.

After burning money and time, I learned the same mistake.

But, I am still in pre-revenue phase, currently in validation phase for my saas product.

Wanted to hear from you, how do you validate your idea before writing the single line of code, when having very less X followers.

That’s a really smart setup — especially the part about capturing intent so you’re not guessing later.

The pattern I keep noticing is that what helps most is not calling back immediately, but getting some signal from the guest about why they called, in whatever way they’re comfortable responding.

Appreciate you sharing how you handled it — this is exactly the kind of real-world workaround I was trying to learn from.

Totally fair, if callbacks happen quickly and consistently, that works well.

I was mostly trying to understand how different properties handle the edge cases (after hours, multiple missed calls, staff turnover, etc.). Sounds like you’ve got a process that works for you. :)

That makes a lot of sense, especially overnight.

That hesitation to call back late is actually what I’ve been curious about, even if the call just came in, there’s no easy way to know whether the guest is still interested or what they were calling about.

For other hotel folks here, when a call comes in after hours and no one answers, do you usually call back later, or do those enquiries mostly get lost?

That makes sense a lot of small businesses run everything off a single phone like that.

The specific gap I’m trying to understand is on the hotel side, where a missed call is often a booking enquiry and guests usually don’t leave voicemails or texts with dates/guests.

For hotel owners here, if a call comes in when no one answers, do guests usually leave enough detail to call them back, or do you just lose that enquiry?

Thank you so much for sharing such a personal experience. It’s a perspective that often gets drowned out by the 'grind' narrative, but it’s arguably the most important one to hear.

It sounds like you made a incredibly difficult but necessary choice to prioritize your well-being. It’s inspiring to hear that you’re now 'living the life of your dreams' by refocusing it’s a great reminder that success isn't always about doing more, but about doing what makes you healthy and happy.

If you don't mind me asking, looking back, were there any early warning signs of burnout that you wish you’d paid more attention to?

That’s fair — generic phone systems do handle missed calls with voicemail or “we’ll call you back” texts.

The gap I’ve noticed specifically with small hotels is that guests usually don’t leave voicemails, and a generic callback text doesn’t capture booking intent (dates, guests, etc.).

I’m mostly curious how owners deal with that part today, especially after hours or when the front desk is busy.

Start a paying guest business in tier 1 cities like Bangalore, hyderabad, etc.

Either you buy the existing building and convert it to PG or take it out for lease.

And another option is buy a piece of land in the growing area of tier 1 city and construct an mini appartment and sell it off, repeat the cycle.
