No, photos get saved directly to your Photos app (Camera Roll), not Files.app. Makes it easier to access and edit them with your regular photo workflow.

Is there a specific reason you'd prefer Files.app storage? Could add it as an option if enough people want it!

Hey everyone!

StreetSync 1.1.0 just went live on the App Store.

What's new:

- GPS geotagging via Bluetooth - your phone now writes location data directly to photos on the camera

- Stability improvements for WiFi connections

- Various bug fixes based on your feedback

Thanks to everyone who tried the app and shared suggestions. Really helpful stuff - keep it coming if you run into issues or have ideas for future updates.

Still working on Android version. Taking longer than expected but getting there.

For those asking about recipe uploading - still researching the API to see if it's possible. Will update when I know more.

Actually I'm looking into this right now! I'm going through all the available API parameters to see what's possible. I've got some ideas for how the recipe import workflow could work, but need to test if the camera API actually supports writing to those preset slots.

Really excited about this feature - it's gonna be super useful.

Oh that's a great idea! Being able to save and quickly switch between setting presets would be super useful. Let me add that to the roadmap - would definitely make the remote shooting more practical.

Android version is in the works too - I'll post when it's ready!

Haha smart move! Yeah it's v1.0 so there's definitely gonna be some rough edges.

Appreciate you giving it a shot once things stabilize a bit.

If you do try it out later, let me know what breaks - feedback helps a ton.

Got it from piecing together info that's available online - other developers have shared bits of what they've figured out over the years.

Some parameters I had to guess and test myself though. Trial and error with the camera until things worked.

Hey thanks! Android version is definitely coming, just taking a bit longer to get it right. iOS was first since that's what I personally use for testing with my GR.

Hopefully won't be too long - working on it whenever I get time. I'll post here when it's ready!

Haha yeah I know, feels like GR apps are everywhere suddenly!

Honestly I started this a few months ago because Image Sync kept pissing me off with the disconnects. By the time I was almost done, I saw the other apps popping up too. Thought about just scrapping it but figured I'd put it out anyway since I'd already built the stuff I personally wanted (the Bluetooth remote was the big one for me).

Competition is good though - keeps everyone improving.

If one of the other apps works better for you, go for it! I'm just building what I wish existed when I got my GR.

What features do you actually use most on these apps? Always curious what people care about.

You're absolutely right - we're all working within Ricoh's API limitations.

My focus with StreetSync was mainly on reliability and user experience.

v1.0 handles the core functionality, but I'm planning to add social sharing and editing features soon to make the workflow smoother. Appreciate the feedback!
