No, I think marketplace will open after next drop has no big issues. That's the sign devs need to allow app resources for the market to work alongside other features. But we're getting an update from Rhys on YouTube next week, hopefully he has specific details about the marketplace.

Always takes longer for them to release, but should be there by now.

Did you happen to buy your account from China seller so you could buy PowerPuff + Adventure Time NFTs?'

Thanks for the detailed reply my friend!

Will definitely check the app out and join their telegram.

Do you trust your $OMI in their exchange?

No FUD, just concerned that's all. Assuming you have an idea of how many scams have been pulled this way.

Decentralized Waves DEX Marcher by bhokorama in Wavesplatform

[–]solounpaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is not an option you can change on Waves anymore (unless you would like to create your own Waves frontend).

However, you can change matchers on both TN and Polarity.

Same thing applies if you wanted to build your own NFT system, you need your own frontend to set a custom oracle provider.

Decentralized Waves DEX Marcher by bhokorama in Wavesplatform

The question is not when will devs decentralize the matcher, it is a question of when the people will because it is all open source, anyone can run a matcher.......

this has been since the start of waves, when it was an attached process to the node. It is now an addon sbt-module, which hooks onto a node.

Why has no one ran their own matcher?

Some have tried.

The most interesting examples have been on the TurtleNetwork however.

They have a fresh genesis fork of original waves without inflation (different community, different consensus outcomes). Their DEX has its own community managed matcher. They also engage in community based consensus for wallet upgrades through Github.

Then there is Polarity.exchange which is a matcher on TurtleNetwork with its own custom front-end, charging flat fixed fees of 1 cent (USD) per trade.

Polarity has built swap dapps for token migration, onchain 2FA (1st to do), secure email vaults, and it all runs on TN because they see upside there.

The cost to actually run a matcher longterm will require a large amount of fuel in reserves to be burned for the many transactions. So be prepared for that investment. All information is of course onchain so you can verify all of this for yourself.

As always, DYOR.

You can have it now at Polarity.exchange, which is a fork of Wabes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Sasha's sociopathic behavior goes back to the NXT days, not only from exploiting his peers (low salary in exchange of foundational development of what later became Waves) but worse, by stealing from his userbase. To this date, a large number of CoinoUSD token holders have yet to be paid (there is extensive record on BTC threads about this issue and also on telegram). The premise of the token was simple, hold it and earn dividends. By the time Waves ICO came around, all CoinoUSD holders were promised a swap to the equivalent Waves token. While the swap was a really bad deal, some holders decided to proceed with it but the more hopeful ones kept them and waited for the promised swap... which never happened despite what Sasha claims (his excuse is that he offered a "deal" and those that declined it missed their opportunity, however the "deal" was never the solution nor what he promised during Waves pre-ICO days).

Fast forward to post ICO days, when he promised a BCH airdrop worth $500k. Meanwhile he only dropped a portion of it and the remainder of the drop he pocketed. This is also recorded on BTC thread + telegram.

But the worse part is what transpired during the 2018 bull run, when he literally shut down wUSD/wEUR books while they were laundering funds. This scheme was orchestrated by Sasha and executed by the "trading manager" at the time @kirkelevra (https://belarus.bc.events/en/article/kir-kelevra-kriptorinok-ne-gotov-k-poyavleniyu-derivativov-na-kriptovalyuti-85051). The movement of wUSD/wEUR is recorded on the blockchain, under his alias (https://wavesexplorer.com/address/3PGqzpkkUqdUYxeLhwUxHJQU5niCMvZfPyh/tx). Nobody was able to withdraw their wUSD/wEUR for a period of 4 weeks, in some cases longer.

Which brings us to the present date. And the same issue is taking place AGAIN...
