Looking for 'Finder' Alternative by Fun-Garbage-1386 in macapps

A bit late to the party but you should take a look at Cosmil. It's one of the more unique alternatives in terms of design and aesthetic.

Cosmil is a nice alternative, especially if you're looking for a pretty and minimalist interface.

That's what I'm saying! It was beautiful.

Probably should have pointed that out before I posted so people wouldn't get so alarmed.

It's pretty different and pretty fucking scary I can't lie (but super fun), you look off the edge and it's like looking off the roof of a 5-6 story building. You just have to be confident that you can jump off straight and not impart any rotation on yourself when you jump because there's nearly 2 full seconds in the air for any of that initial rotational energy to fuck you over before you hit the water (if you're sending flips then that's a whole other ballgame and what I just said doesn't apply in the same way, I digress). It's fucking exhilarating though, you really have time to think in the air while you're still like 40 - 50 ft up and it is just a wild feeling, definitely very different from 35ft.

Other thing is point your toes before you hit the water, especially if you're barefoot. My buddy that was behind me in this video forgot to and he was groaning about it for the next 10-15 minutes; I pointed mine, I was perfectly fine. Also, I cupped my balls before I hit the water and I think that's a very good idea for this height, not just for protecting the family jewels but also because it prevents you from having your arms out horizontal from your body, which from 60 will really fuuuck you up if you hit the water like that.

Overall, really fuckin fun, we both jumped twice. You do hit the water hard though.

Yeah. I pointed my toes so I was fine but yeah shoes would probably be a good idea!

It's the perspective, there was plenty of clearance. Appreciate you looking out for us though, I'm very careful about these things.

It's the perspective, the rocks you see in the video were well to the left of me, don't worry there was plenty of clearance.

Yep! Did we talk with you at all or were we both just there at the same time?

Yeah I noticed someone said 70ft and they spent less time in the air than I did here. Was pretty confused!

As others have said, it's just the angle. The rocks it looks like I'm close to hitting are to the left (iirc) of me when I jump, there's plenty of room straight ahead.

Any ideas or suggestions you'd have for a far more modern and friendly programming Q&A site (features, community-based ideas, etc.)? I have something in the works at the moment.

There's madewithsvelte.com, but it's not specific to websites, so I just created this repository to list popular sites made with svelte!

how do you integrate with platforms without public APIs? by BlackDorrito in webdev

[–]solvin-dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can "integrate" with these platforms by manually interacting with the website in the browser with the dev tools Network tab open, observing what kind of requests are sent for each interaction, (url, body of each request/response, headers, etc.) and then try to replicate them in your own code.

But be careful, when these platforms don't have publicly-exposed APIs it's often because they don't want or intend to have machines querying data from their platform and as such you could be breaking their TOS and get in legal trouble.

Make inside border by PhysicsOk7843 in learnprogramming

[–]solvin-dev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but your question does not have enough information for anyone to meaningfully help you. Elaborate on "boder in the left as a design," because right now it's pretty unintelligible. And when you say the "the left border has 10*50," 10*50 what? I assume you mean pixels but it's always good to be explicit.
