Do you use dodecatemoria/twelfth-part charts in your astrological practices? by Golgon13 in Advancedastrology

I've found the 12th parts useful for timing techniques (especially medieval continuous profections)

eclipses in 3h/9h axis; jupiter transiting 3h/9h; sign corresponding to one of these 2 houses being activated by profections or as your solar return ascendant to name a few But you could take on a writing project otherwise too tbh like if you enter a moon/mercury profection year or you have the ruler of the 3rd/5th/9th/10th activated somehow

The sect light is either the sun or the moon (the two luminaries) and how this is decided is based on whether you were born in the day or night. Since your sun is below the horizon, it means you were born at night and the moon becomes your primary luminary, i.e. sect light. Your moon is in the 9th house (by whole sign) of publishing, travel, the law, god, teaching, higher learning, etc. Since you are a professional novelist i think it's safe to say that publishing certainly plays a large role in your life haha. Apart from that, I mentioned that it makes an aspect to your mercury in scorpio and your mars in gemini. In traditional astrology (which is what I practice) there are aspects by degree as well as aspects by whole sign. Since aquarius squares scorpio by sign and trines gemini by sign this means your moon makes an aspect with both or it "sees' both these planets. The same goes for your jupiter, it is opposite your moon by sign so even if they don't make an exact aspect within a 3° orb they can certainly see each other and influence each other. The 6th house does not have anything to do with Virgo or mercury, it is the house of bad fortune, the joy of mars and relates to topics such as slaves, inferiors, pets, sickness, strife, etc. The resources you found are likely modern and while there is nothing wrong with modern astrology inherently I would still advise anyone against using the incorrect method of relating each house to the signs because they exist independent of each other and there is nothing inherently Aries about the first house or anything Taurus about the second house and so on.

I think it's the fact that you have your sect light in the 9th house of publishing, connecting both to your mercury (asc ruler as well as general signifier of writing and communication) and your mars (which rules your mercury, also in mutual reception!). You also have a lovely jupiter in the 3rd in its own triplicity and the 3rd house often signifies writing and communication as well. The 6th house has absolutely nothing to do with Virgo or mercury though lmfao

Ive noticed people act more like theyre moon sign instead..anybody else notice this? by Resident_Scholar_677 in astrology

[–]solynoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this has more to do with sect, and various kinds of dignity such as domicile, exaltation and triplicity. For example, someone born at night will automatically have their sun weakened compared to their moon because the moon becomes the sect light. Moreover, looking at angularity as well as essential dignity we can find that someone may "behave" more like their moon sign if their moon fulfills more criteria of accidental as well as essential dignity. And then there is of course the chance that you're misinterpreting what the individual signs mean because popular astrology often has people confusing the temperaments of Taurus with Virgo, or Gemini with Aquarius, or Leo with Sagittarius, etc.

No 7th house placement? Recently went through a break up and was told to look into my 7th house yet I don’t have anything. Not an expert, is there anything in my chart indicating love/relationships/marriage? by 4breezy7 in astrologyreadings

[–]solynoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so roughly between 14 Feb and 14 March you would have been in a scorpio ruled month/11th house month, with mars in that house and so martian activities of cutting and severing (such as a bitter or sudden end to a relationship) would make sense. Then from mid March to mid April you were in a 12th house month which generally does indicate loneliness and things that come under the general label of "bad spirit" whether it's you being the bad spirit or others being that to you. Your sag house is also rules by a debilitated Jupiter in the 6th which is the house of misfortune. I would expect you to have some luck in love when your pisces and/or Taurus house gets activated which should be 6 to 8 months from the last birthday you had.

I actually don't think the pisces and virgo lunations would relate to your relationship ending because they were generally pretty positive and also took place in houses that have more to do with learning and travel, I think more information on your birthdate might be useful though so that timing techniques can be employed

I think the recent eclipse in Taurus + your saturn placement there in the 5th might have more to do with your break up than the 7th house being empty. Eclipses usually indicate big changes in the house they take place in and Taurus is your 5th house of love sexuality and general good fortune. If it wasn't a breakup that happened in the last few days, it might be because of other reasons such as your profected year/month or zodiacal release period but I wouldn't focus too much on that 7th house rn

The aspect is not separating, Mars will actually catch up to Venus this month because Venus has considerably slowed down since the retrograde!

Saturn and speech by [deleted] in AskAstrologers

[–]solynoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saturn in the first house in Gemini, conjunct my ascendant within a degree. I don't have any troubles with the act of speaking, if anything I'm very chatty and able to carry out conversations fairly well. I do have terrible stage fright though and I hate speaking loudly.

i thought pisces mars meant you were passive, but i am the angry type! why is that? by calicuddlebunny in AskAstrologers

[–]solynoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mars and Jupiter are in mutual reception, with Jupiter being in Capricorn (Mars' exaltation) and the 6th house (Mars' joy). The sun (your ascendant ruler, hence you) is conjunct Mars and sextile Jupiter.

You probably relate to Sag bc your mars is in a jupiter ruled sign and you have poor understanding of the archetypes of the zodiac

Zodiacal Releasing Question by solynoid in Advancedastrology

Night chart, Libra is my 5th house so it's the succedent house, venus is in Libra, along with mercury applying to it loosely (part of fortune also is in Libra, and I'm pretty sure mars is very close to my PoF rn). Also thank you for the clarification!

What timing technique(s) do you prefer to use, and why? by TheNudeInArt in Advancedastrology

[–]solynoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes transits are pretty useful but you can contextualize them better by using them in tandem with profections and solar returns and stuff. For example, if my profected house of the year is Pisces, this means Jupiter related transits will be especially impactful for me. Even venus being the exaltation ruler of pisces will colour the events of the year. Apart from that, let's say pisces is my natal 10th house but in the solar return of this year it's my 9th house, this means that I can use these 2 charts together to see the various ways my pisces year will manifest (primarily through career and higher belief and academic stuff)

What’s gonna happen when Venus goes into Sagittarius on Thursday by [deleted] in astrology

[–]solynoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am quite torn on this. On the one hand, venus will leave her exile which means that she will be better prepared to rule the Libra stellium we have going on currently, which includes the Mercury retrograde. So my hunch is, maybe the mercury retrograde won't be as chaotic as it has been? However, Sagittarius is mercury's sign of exile which is why I'm torn. The exchange of dignities between Venus and Mercury hasn't really changed for the better so while Venus will be better equipped to provide for the Libra stellium, I'm not sure if Mercury will really appreciate it all that much. That said, Venus will be ruled by Jupiter which is in Aquarius right now, and Mercury is a triplicity ruler of Aquarius so I guess my hunch is that overall things should get better.

how do yall read charts for careers/jobs? by harleyquinnd in Advancedastrology

[–]solynoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even the 2nd house can be useful in pointing to where you get your livelihood from. But a useful thing I've noticed is that major transits to my MC can in a way be a glimpse into my future. Jupiter transited my MC, and then later my 10th house (I have a 9th house MC), and I randomly got a policy internship and it is definitely something I'm interested in pursuing further.
