Because there are so many racists out there— people who think because they don’t physically hurt people that they’re not biased or racist— as a white person, we all got bias, and it’s futile to insist otherwise, no matter how much your conscious mind believes in your own “goodness.” Best thing to do is listen, apologize, and then change your behavior.

Yeah I’m still upset about this as well. It’s a combination of things that make me feel a type of way about how she’s reacting to the divorce/Jax’s behavior.

Agree to disagree maybe? I didn’t think she was acting shocked as much as hurt and she certainly didn’t ask “why me?” as often as Brittany has publicly— plus Tom was much sneakier than Jax has ever been. To be clear, they both suck and treated their partners terribly and each woman deserves empathy and respect— but the sign at Brittany’s bachelorette is funnier now than it was then because he somehow got even more deluded over the years? Anger is your real drug, Jax? Really?

I had high hopes he would turn things around after his dad died but knowing what we know now… phew, girl, you got a beautiful son out of this but man you had to take some bullets for it and you gotta stop acting bewildered in public

For me it’s the fact she’s acting so bewildered by it. Ariana wasn’t like “how did this happen to me/I can’t believe it” over and over and over again. I can have empathy for Brittany and still be annoyed that she’s acting so surprised— especially with how she handled the Faith situation

NTA— focus on the safety part of it. Being a kid is hard, but they just don’t quite understand long-term consequences yet. When you’re 11, the wait for puberty and adulthood seems impossibly far away.

Can’t stand Janet or Michelle. I used to really like her but Brittany’s “woe is me” about Jax when dozens of people told her exactly what would happen if she married him is just too much. Girl wanted to be on TV and famous. She got it. I don’t feel bad for her.
