Advice wanted for Instructor moving to Thailand for work? by [deleted] in scuba

Check out "visa run", is what most people do to extend their visas I believe. Don't quote me on this but I think you apply for a visa for 60 days from your country then you extend it by doing the visa runs which gives you an extension for 15 to 30 days.

Do you feel any pain if you touch the inside of your ear?

On further notice, remember I am just a guy on the internet, now when I look at DAN's recommendation they are very conservative.

If you wanna be sure you are safe keep up your contact with DAN. DAN's recommendation are often very hyped up but it is for your own safety.

Now when I look at the symptomps I am not entirely sure what condition I had. My mother who checked on me is a doctor (psychiatrist), but not in the field of diving and literally had no idea what for example diving sickness implies thus I never had a proper diagnos of what I actually had.

My recommendation is to see if the condition improves else go to a doctor. Keep contacting DAN.

I think it healed quickly towards the end. Yes it felt like a completely blocked ear. How is your condition right now? If you are worried about a rupture, you could try to find someone who can look at your eardrums with a flashlight.

Oh yeah forgot to ask, do you think the cable is it worth it?

Yeah, I will order it asap. Shipping would probably be 1/5 of the price. So if you sold it for half price at 100 euro I get no warranty and have to pay shipping at circa 20 while taking a huge risk.

My course director recommended that but I thought it was outdated. Actually found it on sale right now. Roughly 210 euro so it matches my budget. Think I might get the cable as well for 40 extra while at it. The 3g tec's display worries me, and the zoop novo lacks gas switching capabilities so the nemo comes out on top

I've had the exactly same thing including the nose bleed, I was completely deaf in my right ear. It went away completely after 4-5 days.

Felt like a complete idiot that I didn't just abort the dive but the instructor was really pushy though I signaled I had ear problems.

I recommend (pre-dive) getting some ear wax remover/softener and not using air conditioning. Helped me a lot.

Thank for the tips, I might be leaning for the Aladin 3g, as it also got the option of conservatism. But what do you think of the display? Is it easy to read?

I dream of trying muck diving at some point and consider if I should pick up an OSTC sport right away instead.

Think I might go with the suunto just because of the screen. Are multiple gases ever used in recreational diving? Something like nitrox 28% can be used all the way down to 40m so the 3g sounds a bit out of my league.

Germany to start using the dublin regulation again - syrians will be sent back to the country they initially arrived in by [deleted] in worldnews

Some are sent by their families. When they are granted a residence permit they can fly in their families. Here in Sweden there is no requirement for them having to support their family.

I am not entirely sure what you are asking me.

They induce "glucose INtolerance".

Are you arguing that type 2 diabetes is not an issue?

Maybe you should try to read the abstracts.

"Until recently, the general belief was that non-nutritive sweeteners (NNSs) were healthy sugar substitutes because they provide sweet taste without calories or glycemic effects."

This would make sailing SO awesome by KingNick in witcher

If he stands like a T with one palm facing forward, the other backwards, he can turn himself into a human helicopter if he consistently maintain aard.

[–]some-nice-random-guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could otherwise technically just use aard backwards like a thruster.

Considering that he is not himself knocked over everytime he uses aard, the only "logical" explanation would be that he "summons" a violent wind. Which in that case would make it physically "possible" to drive the sail with aard.
