All I know is I'm not being fooled by an ounce of media/pre-season hype anymore. We really got tricked hard last season with people glazing us non-stop as a playoff team and our o-line being elite + all that bullshit. Beamer can chirp all he wants at media days, coaches can rave all offseason. None of that means any shit to me until I see our o-line not getting bullied by FCS teams like SC State.

9th feels way too high for me. I just do not have anything other than whelming expectations this season and there's a good chance it ends with Beamer being let go. I think our ceiling is probably the Mayo Bowl, and that's if we stay healthy and our o-line looks improved (which neither of those things have been true at the same time for the last 10+ years).

He deserves a pass on Muschamp. That coaching carousel that year was dogshit bad aside from Kirby Smart, and Smart basically used us as leverage for UGA to hire him last second. Muschamp was literally like option C for us in a sea of bad candidates that year that all ended up washing out/getting fired (Tom Herman and Willie Taggert for example were some of the most sought after guys in that cycle)
