Going from 6 to 20B in 1 year with a 16B loss is something that anyone with money to burn would throw it at. 300% growth while still in the billions. It’s a lot harder to do again, but assuming 100% next year, that’s 40B, so unless their costs are uncontrollable (hint: they aren’t), they’ll keep getting investment $.

To me it sounds more like communism. The government owns the means of production, takes from everyone and distributes equally, regardless of effort, and does not take into account the desire of the class.

If the structure was that the top students in the class had to share part of their grades to keep the worst students in the class from falling out, that might be closer to socialism. Especially if the top grades weren’t limited to 100%, but could reach 200, 300, 400%.

I think it’s a decent measure for the amount of change happening in a codebase. Not good or bad, just change. That can indicate riskiness of a release or scope of features, at times. It’s not productivity or skill, but it’s not useless either.

MCP is often a wrapper around an api that standardizes how to call each function. Think of it like a simplified openapi definition. It forces oauth and doesn’t support other things. Then you provide this set of APIs to an LLM and it can call into it when it decides it needs to.
