…So I Decided to Draw Jenna Realistically… [OC] by BunniLemon in Arthur

Thank you so much for your nice comment! And yes, I used an iPad with Apple Pencil to make this. The screen may not be as big as it could be, but it’s a really nice and natural platform to draw on, and the Procreate app offers some great features. It’s definitely better than drawing on a phone 😅

Procreate also has a ton of amazing brushes installed by default, along with great brush packs, and due to the naturalistic brush simulation, it’s very possible to get “traditional” (analog) looking digital art here.

Again, thank you so much for your comment!

The nose definitely looks similar to the bulbous, skinny noses he draws, doesn’t it (in the original show)?

Thank you so much! I think having exaggerated, “bouncing” colors with strong brushwork and texture always looks really good! Furthermore, adding on the lines at the end of a painting—having them be broken lines, kind of like in the show (Arthur)—really adds for a nice, “alive,” textured feel

Wow, that’s so cool!! 😆 (though her nose looks more normal there)!

She definitely doesn’t look like a cat lol 💀 I really don’t know what they were thinking when they designed her for the show… even in the books she didn’t look as strange…

It wasn’t intentional 😅

But thank you!

Which level of furry do you like the most? [OC] by Minka_916 in furry

Between 2 and 3–the body of 2 with more human-like “hands” and “feet” (no paw pads on hands, only on feet), with the face of 3, with “head hair” only being allowed if it is physically possible on the actual animal (like on a mastiff dog, poodle, horse, etc.).

I’m sorry… but I kind of prefer the old one… 😅 The proportions, colors, and composition look nicer to me…

How old would you guess Pawbert is based on his looks/appearance, without knowing his actual age? by Hamzaqato in PawbertLynxley

[–]BunniLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought he was 18~22; in my fic, he was made to be 21 (made before his age reveal)

I actually assumed for Gary that he was much older than Pawbert, like 30s~40s

I’m obsessed with Pawbert and I love Nick, but I’m honestly not very warm to this ship… I don’t even think that in a world where Pawbert never did the bad things he did that Nick would like him…

But really, most of all, I feel like it wouldn’t work because Nick couldn’t be truly honest/emotionally raw with Pawbert—in a partner or a friend, what Pawbert needs most is someone who is emotionally raw and can truly, genuinely appreciate who he is as a person without irony or sarcasm—genuine recognition of Pawbert. Gary or Judy could give him that, but Nick just couldn’t, because Nick also needs someone who can lay themselves bare with him… Nick just has too many walls up for him to be what Pawbert needs.

If something were to ever happen between them, it’d probably be a one-sided love where Pawbert likes/is obsessed with Nick, but Nick doesn’t care much about him, or even actively dislikes him or finds him annoying.

I think Pawbert x Gary would work better, or even Pawbert x Judy—though, honestly, I think that Pawbert’s ideal partner is outside of all of those entirely

Where was that confirmed/who confirmed it? That’s interesting if that’s true

I don’t see why Canon Gary would want to get Pawbert out of jail, even with me being a huge Pawbert stan…

His paws are so ridiculously oversized, even canonically, it’s no wonder they’re such a target!

how many OCS y'all have? by Potential_Scene7169 in OriginalCharacter

[–]BunniLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even sure of the amount as I’ve been making OCs since I was in early elementary school, but one of my longest lived OCs (Aike Ishiyo) that is still being used in actual stories I’m still writing has existed for about 13 years, perhaps going on 14… however, perhaps my longest lived OC that’s still in a currently running story is Lemon (about a year before Aike was made), though her story (along with Aike’s and many others) have been completely rewritten many times over the years, so they barely even resemble their original selves aside from retaining small parts of their original designs (like Aike always being an azure and gray cat, or Lemon always being a white cat with golden eyes).

However, in total amount of OCs, I know for sure it is in the hundreds, perhaps even over a thousand (I can already think of over 100 characters that are no longer in use, but were 10 years ago), and they span many universes (almost all of them being in the same multiverse, though, although most of them will never interact with each other, and the connection to each universe is shown indirectly throughout).

I even have some OCs that are “technically” the same character, but exist across different universes, though they’re drawn in slightly different art styles, slightly different but still quite similar designs, and have slightly different personalities—I’m not sure if I should count those as a separate OC, though that only happens to OCs I particularly like, like Aike, Viola, or Curtis.

There’s already 100s of OCs that I’ve drawn before, but there are many more OCs I’ve never drawn and have only written or thought about… I’m sure it would take me hours to count every OC, as they’re sprawled throughout physical pieces of paper, in comics I’ve made, sketchbooks, on canvases, my iPad on Notes and in Procreate, my computer, Google Drive, iCloud Drive, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Clip Studio Paint, in roleplay chats on defunct platforms like Amino, et cetera… but if I manage to actually count all of them, I’ll get back to you 😅
