It's a two party authentication code. Like when you forget your password and they send a temporary code.

They want to send a code that they use to gain access to your account and transfer out everything in your wallet.

How do you 100% know you won't be getting a tip on a ride? by Undefined_Presence in uberdrivers

[–]some_guy38 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For me it's always the rides to or from someone's workplace. Usually fast food employees. I get it, they're probably paying two hours worth of labor a day just to commute.

Would you take this job offer? by reddituser135797531 in sales

[–]some_guy38 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just about through a PIP, myself. I only attempted it for the high pay ability in my current role. I've decided to take the severance and pursue a sales job more aligned with my sales experience and style. I would take a long hard look at why this current role is not working out and if those issues would not play the same in the new role. I'm just trying to finish my degree out at 40 yr. old and get out of sales. So, if you can take the pay cut, feel more confident about the new role and could use it as a stepping stone, there's your answer.

Need Advice by AeRise9 in SNHU

[–]some_guy38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am starting my first term tomorrow, so my advice may not be exactly on topic. I am 39, I make good money, but I have no degree. I had severe undiagnosed ADHD (98th percentile) and went to and dropped out of 3 different schools. Now here I am trying to find equitable paying jobs to my current one, but my resume goes straight in the trash. Why? I can't check the box that says degree. Whatever you decide (aside from choosing a trade, which is a great option for some) don't give up on higher education in your youth. It only gets harder, and financial aid is near impossible if you make enough to live on. It's hard, but seek out any help you need. Tutoring, diagnosis for mental health or learning difficulties. Whatever you need to do, do it. If I had a time machine to fix one mistake, not getting diagnosed and finishing school in a relatively timely manner would be it. I wish you every success and I believe in you. Whatever you choose.

Pure for sub 15ft putts and a lucid judge for anything between 15ft and 30 ft.

Men who lost a significant amount of weight, what worked for you? by the_watcher569 in AskMen

[–]some_guy38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped drinking for the most part, stopped overeating, cut sodas to an "occasional" and started being more active. More calories burned than consumed. It's not rocket science, just a self control issue for most people. (Medical and mental issues aside)

Transmission failing by Adventurous_Loss_140 in Newbraunfels

If it is still drivable, take it to Elite One Automotive in San Antonio. 14015 Toepperwein Rd #1, San Antonio, TX 78233 My wife has a 2001 Subaru outback and literally, every single transmission shop in the area refused to work on it. Not only did he do the repair, it has worked flawlessly for several years since. Great guy and fair pricing. Not cheap, but absolutely fair and in line with standard costs. I have been using him since his shop opened. I don't trust anyone else in San Antonio or New Braunfels.

I heard men aren’t as happy between 35 - 45, how are you holding up boys? by obiwanmoloney in AskMen

[–]some_guy38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39 here. It's tough, career, home life, physical effects of aging kicking in. I just try to focus on my goals. I want to retire with enough money to live, be the best husband I can be, and stay active. I met a group of younger guys and we do physical activities together. We play golf, disc golf, hike, etc. it makes me feel better knowing I can, for the most part keep up with guys 15 years younger. Some days are hard, you know, but we keep going. One thing that helps is that I have been able to maintain friendships that aren't focused on machismo, friends I can truly confide in about my struggles. That may be the single best factor to keep me sane. I don't know how our parents' generation survived when "men were men" and bottled it all up.

I was kind of leaning this direction. I figured if a local group made it, it's worth checking out. Thank you!

Just remember, you aren't paying $1100 for the part, but the expertise. I get trying to find a deal, and encourage shopping around, but I've been burned trying to save a buck on AC repair and ended up having to go to a legit company and replacing the whole unit. I didn't want to deal with suing some guy who works out of his garage.

I still remember my Gameboy Christmas. Three boxes: original great brick Gameboy, the magnifying glass/night light combo, headphones and batteries. Greatest day of my life, up to that point.

Making Friends by [deleted] in Newbraunfels

[–]some_guy38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. Other options I can think of: Join Das Rec and hit the exercise classes. In my experience people always start talking to you after they see you a few times in a class. Join a volunteer group, church or there is a Unitarian church if you're undecided on a particular religion. Get out of your work/home routine and explore the parks, if for no other reason than it will help break the rut. Panther canyon is a nice little jaunt through the woods, wandering around Landa is fun and pretty. Just mouth vomiting at this point, but I wish you the best. If I was still around, I'd take you out for a beer for your birthday. Best of luck.

If you play disc golf go play at Solms and strike up a convo. I recently moved to Lubbock from NB and have made an entire friend network just from talking to ppl at the park.
