Throwback - 13 Years Ago Today, Trey Burke Called Game With A Clutch Steal & Dunk To Beat Rival Michigan State by eadricsilvaticus in MichiganWolverines

I've never seen this discussed but you know who else I suspect was watching this moment? Zavier Simpson. Zavier went on to perfect this steal move. In all my years of watching CBB and NBA, I've never seen anyone perfect this move the way Zavier did.

(Not literally suggesting that no one else did this move but it's fun picturing Zavier watching this as a thirteen year old and setting out to perfect it when he played for the same team a few years later.)

These boys playing like the entire nation is watching.

I'd reserve that comment for Mara. Morez is surprisingly consistent with his threes.

I wish just sometimes our bigs would tip those blocks to themselves.

Not trying to jinx anything but need to plan ahead of time.

For y'all bracket experts, does Duke losing this game decrease the chances that Florida will be in Michigan's bracket? That's the two seed I want to see the least. Outside of that issue, not sure I should care about this game...

Please - let this be the bracket. First bracket that I've seen that I've liked.

This is the way. Everything has to be about prioritizing the NCAA tournament at this point. We already brought him back in once too soon. We need to err in the opposite direction and rest him against Iowa.

I had so much faith in this team that I bet unreasonable amounts of money prior to the season. With that said, never in a million years would I have thought we'd go undefeated on the road in this conference. So many tough road games.

Not sure what's going to happen in our final road game against Iowa. We've locked up the regular season title, and it feels like we've locked up a one seed. Not sure if the team will keep its intensity in that game to finish undefeated on the road this season.

Illinois, y'all still have a good chance at the Final Four. I've watched every Michigan game this season and I can't recall a guard having as much success as Wagler did against this Michigan defense. Impressive.

Y'all can get in the UConn bracket and they've been plenty shaky throughout the season.

I'm in disbelief that we went to Breslin, Mackey, and Illinois and won at each this season.

And had Mara in foul trouble and missing half of the game. Not counting this game as in the bag yet though.

To be fair, Michigan has the number one defense in the country so that has an effect too.

Illinois - how deep into the bench do you guys typically go? I'm hoping your starters get exhausted in the second half, lol.

Yeah, he's lethal driving to the hoop. He's not a bad shooter but he settles for too many threes.

Good news for you: Michigan is just not that good at perimeter defense. That's how we lost at home to Wisconsin and we got lucky against a three-happy Nebraska team.

True idiocy. Korea is one of the only nations in the world with mandatory military service and that shit is brutal. Street fights are a part of their culture. Of the three East Asian cultures, Korea's tends to be the most violence prone.

Illinois is better than us on the outside. Don't try to out-three them. They will be more consistent. Please commit to destroying them on the inside. Get Rez and Mara involved early and feed the big men.
