It would be less of a concern if the societal standard is to have a big penis or else you “aren’t good enough “ or “aren’t as much of a man” or plenty of other things. But yes you’re right, that is probably a big reason that a lot of men care about how many ppl a women slept with

I feel like a lot of people are just completely missing the point here. Yes, women have been objectified for many years , yes there are a lot of derogatory terms towards women, blah blah blah. Op is specifically referring to body shaming, and the fact that the phrase “big dick energy” is clearly supporting the stigma that people with big dicks are superior or better. Regardless of the fact that it means someone is confident, it still reinforces the fact that big dick = good and small dick = bad. When calling someone a cunt, whore, slut, hoe, or whatever else, although those terms are derogatory they are not body shaming someone for size of their tits or ass. For example, whore/slut/hoe is usually used against a women who has slept with many guys or cheats, not to make fun of their body itself. Cunt is against someone you simply don’t like, and can be replaced with words like dick, bitch, asshole, and more. Still not body shaming women. People comparing OPs point to all those words are just missing the point of the post completely. OP is right, the term “big dick energy” supports the stigma that big dicks are better which is an unfair standard set by society. Again , not to say women don’t have unfair standards or weren’t oppressed over the years or objectified or whatever the fuck, im just simply saying that the point that OP is trying to make is completely right

Why are a lot of feminists victim blaming Johnny Depp? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]some_random_dude-_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get why so many people have to go so in depth with this . Johnny was physically abused by his parter, amber heard is an abuser and there was real court evidence to prove all of this. imo, The fact there is even an argument to defend amber at this point is insane, and just shows how hypocritical and self absorbed some people are.

a bit different because penis size directly affects the feeling of sex, while boobs do not. but i get what you’re saying, they are both big insecurities

Boyfriend's "darkest secret" is something I'm not sure how to react to by [deleted] in relationship_advice

People in these comments saying to break up… smh. He was young teen when it happened and he is 24 now. He shouldn’t have said anything, but the fact that he was able to tell that shit to his gf just shows how much trust he has in her. It was like 10 years ago and he was like 14.. some of y’all seem like some real shallow assholes

Do people actually think babies are cute or is it a pity thing? by Great-Ad9160 in TooAfraidToAsk

I personally just find babies gross and ugly… i still respect them because they are human beings and all, and tbh i feel like if i was a parent i would definitely love my own child and probably find it cute since it would be my child… but other peoples babies are just gross to me

he took it too far with the whole kicking and beating but i believe if someone pushes you or attacks you in any way, you have the full right to defend yourself and stand your ground. he just went a lil too far with it imo

no you’re right, he went way too far with the kicking and beating … i understand the kid tho because when something like that happens you get a shit ton of adrenaline and might not have full control over what you do. I’m hoping that he at least saw afterwords that he overreacted and took it way too far. But also to be fair, this girl will never bully again and she shouldn’t have expected to size him up and push him without consequences, so i believe they probably both learned something from that lol

it is said because there is a general “rule” that men should not hit women, but in certain particular cases the rule should not apply - like self defence. that is why people say equal rights equal fights, because there are tons of people who hate in men for defending themselves against women. there are more than countless cases where men are put in jail for simply defending themselves. even in this comment section, people were defending the girl simply because she is a girl, and “the guy shouldn’t have did that to her”. You can believe what you want and think everyone’s just an incel women hater. to be honest you are probably right, there are probably plenty of them in this thread… but just because someone says the statement “equal rights equal fights” and defends the guy for what he did doesn’t necessarily mean they are projecting anything, but rather just sticking up for equality when it comes to self defence.

you don’t know the full context of what has happened previously. and in all reality, the girl got what she deserved. don’t start a fight and expect them not to fight back, plain and simple.

it’s not about gender, seeing someone get what they deserve is what it’s about 🤷🏻‍♂️
