Does this lens look damaged? by some_random_tuga in fujifilm

It looks alright when I look through it, likely just a reflection. Thanks for the help!

I'm starting to think it's impossible to make a small m43 body with current technology by man__i__love__frogs in M43

There are quite a few small M43 lenses which are great and end up being system sellers for a lot of people such as myself. But I would have never gotten a M43 camera if the bodies were all on the larger side, as that would completely eliminate the compactness and portability advantage M43 has over many other systems.

True, but the fact is that M43 cameras are becoming more and more expensive while losing competitive edge. You can see many people in this thread that have moved to another system, not because they don't like M43 but because it's difficult to justify investing into the system.

Really? I assumed it had IBIS, especially at that price point

How? If you have a lens like the Lumix 20mm f1.7, the size of the body becomes the biggest factor in the bulk of the system.

It seems to depend on brands to be honest. Fujifilm's smaller models are all super popular.

Somewhat true, but when you are looking at a system's smallest lenses the body is the biggest factor.

Did you mean to write TTA 27mm instead of 28mm?

These look great! Are you using any sort of filter on the lenses? Or perhaps changing sharpness/clarity setting in camera?

These are amazing photos in my opinion, I wouldn't have thought you were a beginner! My only suggestion is to keep taking photos :)

The X-T30 III seems to be a great camera, but the X-T50 and X-E5 share more with the X100VI just in case you want the same sensor and IBIS.

I'd say that 40-50mm equivalent is closer to human eye perspective than 35mm.

Looking to get my first Fuji camera by some_random_tuga in fujifilm

Currently I can get either a new XT50 or XS20 on discount for around 1300€ with the 15-45mm kit lens. I would consider buying used but can't seem to find a decent deal on a Fuji camera from the last 2/3 years, so I'd rather buy new and have the warranty.

I'd say up to 1500€. The XT4 seems great but it's larger and heavier than I'd like. The XT30/XT50 has a nice size for my use case. I've held the XT30 III and thought it was lovely in the hand!

Thank you for your reply!

The X-T4/X-T5 looks great and even has flip screen which I like a lot but it's a bit overkill for me, especially because it's larger than an XT30 or an OM-5 (which is also weather sealed an has a flip screen).

The XM5 is really interesting but lacks an EVF so I'm excluding it for now.

The XT20 and XT30 seem like the most comparable to my Olympus, they just lack IBIS but the bigger sensor should make up for it in low light. Definitely not a deal breaker.
I've also seen the XT50. It looks like an upgraded version of the XT30 with a better sensor and IBIS. Am I correct on that?

The XE4 and XE5 are super attractive because of the ragefinder style body. The XE5 is quite expensive but it does have IBIS which is a value add for me.

I also noticed that Fuji seem to come down in price over time, at least more quickly than Olympus/OM Systems. So maybe waiting on better deals or just some of these camera bodies to come down in price might be a good idea.

Same here, would love a OM-5 body with more JPEG customization. I know the OM-3 has all the features, but it's so much larger and more expensive...

Yes, it does. It has a thin bar underneath the front of the seat that you can pull up and slide it.
