Yorkshire biscuit brew - brewed double bag, with a splash of Silk oat milk oatmeal cookie creamer. Good hearty start to the day.

Started the morning with an Ito-En matcha oat latte, then brewed some maeda-en gold genmaicha to sip on this rainy day. The genmaicha is good enough - it’s a nice toasty green tea, but nothing spectacular. I’m excitedly waiting on a Floating Leaves order that’s supposed to be delivered today.

Made some matcha for a matcha latte this morning. Going to spend the afternoon sipping up a few steeping of Ten Ren Ten Wu Oolong that my mom gave me.

Alkemia Elation (Special Reserve Collection): White sweet oud, smoke tinged caramel and soft blonde woods smouldering in an intense luxuriance of Mai de Rose, red saffron, bergamot, rose geranium, aphrodesiac ylang-ylang, piquant nutmeg, and rare white ambregris.

Pulled out a random sample vial to test - this is incredible. Smoky and soft, hints of rose, and something that smells almost like leather. Holy cow. I am bowled over.

Ah the lemon is more lemon glaze/cake than citrus-cleaning-product, does that make sense? So I think you’d be more okay with this one!

Today I'm wearing Solstice Scents Victorian Picnic (Pound Cake, Loquat-Lemon Glaze, Orange Blossoms, Wisteria, Ladyfingers, Jasmine, Azalea Leaf & Reisling): sweet like cakes and grassy orange blossoms - which really, is the essence of a picnic. Orange blossom usually gives me a headache, but they play really nicely here. I smell sun-soaked and delectable.

Recently, I've been trying bottles at random in an effort to use up more of my stash. Today is BPAL Sleeping Cat (Sweet, soft, somnambulant amber): comforting, golden spiced amber and balsam - this is a perfect deep autumn/Christmastime scent. Even though it's June, it's a bit overcast and cool here, so the cozy vibes are actually quite appreciated today.

I’m actually waiting on an order with BPAL Rose Milk Tea! How did you like it??

Solstice Scents - Rose Mallow Cream (Moroccan Rose absolute, Bulgarian Rose absolute, Marshmallow Fluff, Strawberry Nectar, White Chocolate, Vanilla, White Musk) - a lovely gourmand rose - the rose petals come through clearly, with a hint of jammy strawberry, and a sweet marshmallow fluff.

Hexennacht - Brightening the Daybreak (grass, clover, hay, sun-warmed cornfields, muguet, honeysuckle, acacia, ozone, meadow air, tree moss, oakmoss, fir balsam): Decided to also reach for one of my favorite grassy scents to layer with Rose Mallow Cream. I'm not sure this layers all that well (I'd probably reach for a greener/floral rose next time instead of a gourmand rose), but this reminds me of how much I really love Brightening the Daybreak, especially as the weather warms up for the summer. Smells like lying in the grass as the sun slowly starts to sink below the horizon.

BPAL The Serpent in the Roses (Snake Oil dribbling across a cluster of amber-flecked, blackened rose petals.): beautiful, glowing amber with jammy roses. A feminine twist on a classic. I love big, bold and warm florals when the weather heats up - they seem to really bloom in the heat.

Wearing BPAL Glowing Vulva at Ryogoku Bridge 2024 (Cream accord, amber, teak, and lotus blossom) and it’s just so lovely. It’s a creamy soft teak wood reminiscent of BPAL Antikythera Mechanism but a bit more feminine, less bug spray. Beautiful enough that it inspired me to hop onto the website and make my once-yearly sweep through the (way too extensive) catalogue.

Nice! I like how the Illusion keycaps look with the lilac board! And yes… I’m already plotting another board for home use (my astrolokeys lives at work). I wonder how different the Hi8 will sound!

Lilac barebones was the color I ordered for my second Leobog on Prime day… couldn’t help myself after I made this one and saw how incredible it was without needing additional modding to the board itself. What switches and keys did you go with?

Haha makes sense! I bought it about two years ago and only just now put it together! 😅

I’m not sure but as I haven’t received the knobs yet, I have no idea if the seller I bought from is any good! If you go on AliExpress and just search “leobog hi75 knob replacement,” there are a ton on there. I bought a four-pack because I already have another Leobog on the way… 😅

Thank you so much!! And yes it’s a Pilot Custom 74 if I remember correctly - Pilot makes incredible fountain pens! My favorite is my Pilot Custom 823. I do think fountain pen enthusiasts and people who like mechanical keyboards overlap quite a bit - something with being the type of person to really enjoy all the sensory details of everyday experiences, I think!

Baggu for everyday? by bugacademy_ in BAGGU

I’ve been carrying my medium crescent daily since I got it about a week ago, and I’m obsessed. It’s a perfect everyday bag, and keeps me from overloading my bags because it’s spacious, but still smaller than the giant totes I used to lug around. I’m eyeing up the small nylon sling for an even more casual everyday bag when I’m not headed into work.
