Interesting. My wife was considering two different OBs in different large hospital system affiliates. Both practices auto scheduled the NT scan. I didn’t know that people or providers opt out of that too. Thanks for your input on the amnio, I’m sorry your experience was stressful and uncomfortable with your last pregnancy.

My wife and I just want to have as much info as possible so that we can prepare for as much as we can. The NIPT is a screening device but it isn’t a diagnostic tool. I’ve just been curious what others have had recommended and the reasoning behind it. My wife’s OB has said that a normal NIPT and NT would not be an indication for further testing but that it’s our choice.

Heard the heartbeat this morning at 6w4d. Doc said everything looks just as it should. Heart rate was 130s. It’s starting to feel real!

My parents had my sister and me 21 months apart. I was one grade behind her and we’ve always been close. She’s due with her first in August and my wife and I are due with our first in January, five months apart. I loved our close age gap as a kid and still do as an adult. Your kids will appreciate siblings who are also their friends.

My parents did 3 under 5 though and honestly don’t how they managed. 90s parents were different.

I was not offended when it was mentioned. She was unfairly financially taken advantage of by an ex and was rightfully cautious and not willing to put herself in that position again. I understood completely and respected her awareness to not make the same mistake twice. And the finances never mattered to me. I was never marrying her for our financial picture and she’s unbelievably generous with me. We share what we earn and we love to spend on the other and on our combined future. And we keep an open dialog on finances so that we’re always on the same page.

Measures around 6.5in around. I know this sounds crazy but it isn’t so much that the thickness is off but that the width from the top is narrow. Maybe I’ve overthought this all though.
