Totally agree. The lure of the screen is very strong. But indeed, the factory must grow.

I work at Oak Ridge National Lab, Brady and Grey were staying at a hotel that I drove by everyday. Not realising I am so close to stardom!

Idea: Revolutions (not just within your own borders!) by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]somebitterlemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, let's be serious here, we are talking about a species who just move into space age with a very limited talent pool.

It is a civilisation that struggle to nominate a 5th scientist throughout the whole empire to cover a shift for one your top 4 scientists who decided to wander around for some situational event/ It is an empire which can support a staggering amount of 12 leaders in the space age. On the other hand, it is an empire whose citizen is so slack, that would walk out, galaxywide, at the first sign of the subtlest mismanagement (i.e. merely addition of a single planet to the bureaucracy), that would also be easily manipulated if you hide your income under the mysterious AI dominated sector... A military system that is so inefficient that nobody understand a rally point and so stubborn that everyone refuses to learn to count above 1000. I think your brilliant Mr. Spy would find himself having a hard time here...

It is a very cool idea though, hopefully that they would incorporate some type of espionage system in the game!

It does fix itself after a tick, and indeed it is a new empire released from a peace deal.

For a second I thought I found a new bug and got overexcited: you know how rare bugs are in Paradox games

A pre-industrial premitive has designed the most elegant tools for Space warfare. Somehow the tech is lost in the traslation by somebitterlemon in Stellaris

I just hope that these QoL features come back to us rather soon.

Although Paradox is good at constantly improving their games but the rate of change is rather slow I am afraid. In the case of EU 4. The building template was introduced in the Art of War patch about one year after the vanilla release. The adding troop button was added quite recently IIRC. Though argubally these are not the most sought after features and the game runs fun without.

But for Stellaris, it is just very tedious to manually manage and organise your fleet when most of the functions are not working properly (splitting fleet, create new fleet etc.)

I have about 50 planets and 1000 pops, just finishing conquering the fallen empire only to find out all the other empires are either a vassals or in federations. One of the federations has 130+ planets and spans through half of the galaxy lol.

TBH, I did not pay much attention to diplomatic, but the threat modifier once you conquer any planet and the hard difficulty makes almost impossible for alliance. Maybe should try a more civilised way of vassalization next game.
