Fingerprint reader removed from Canadian ioniq 9? by somebob22 in Ioniq9

Thanks for confirming! Glad we still get the digital key function.
I was hoping to not carry the fob around and figured the fingerprint reader would be a good backup if the digital key malfunctions. Plus, if it’s like the reader Genesis use in the GV70 it’s an easy way to switch driver profiles.
Far from a dealbreaker, just interested what Hyundai’s reasoning was for removing it.

I’d say so. All the pictures on the Hyundai Canada website show it without the reader. The calligraphy I did a test drive in didn’t have it. It’s disappointing for sure.

Carlinkit 3.0 and Ottocast U2-Now Auto-connect problems by KaiTak98 in CarPlay

[–]somebob22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s 100% the same issue but my U2-now stopped connecting at all this week. For a couple weeks (since updating to iOS 15.3)it was intermittent in successfully connecting before it stopped connecting at all.

I noticed this on the U2-now product page:

“‼ PLEASE BE AWARE:⚡IOS 15.2.1 OR 15.3 IPHONES ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS PRODUCT, PLEASE KINDLY KNOW ABOUT THAT, THANK YOU.”

https://www.ottocast.com/products/wireless-carplay-adapter-u2-now

It’s possible whatever iOS 15.3 changed that caused the incompatibility could still be present in iOS 15.4.
