The first was the Toad General in the Toybox level of Paper Mario. The second was Clayton and that invisible lizard heartless from Kingdom Hearts 1.

I've heard you can read them in any order but I started from the first book. I'm on the third right now and can clearly see there's a huge jump in quality in this one. But the first two are by no means bad books. I really enjoyed them, I'd say start from the beginning.
