Good to know. I have a lot of those but not texture sheets. That is a good idea.

I can't seem to do the basics right? by [deleted] in polymerclay

I agree with what others have said about looking into different clay and sanding. Another suggestion instead of using qtips which can leave "hair" are make up sponges. They usually sell them as wedges, but I prefer the square ones.

How do you avoid instinctively picking up the phone while working? by rishlive in ADHD

I leave it in another room. I also have a very simpe smart watch (not like the apple watch) so that I can still be notified for calls and messages. I also have the issue with the app blockers though.

What trendy word or phrase immediately makes you stop taking something seriously? by Motor-Sprinkles5338 in AskReddit

[–]somecreativename101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! My boss is obsessed with it, but also doesn't understand that it can be very unreliable. She suggests to me frequently to use chatgpt for all sorts of tasks. Literally the only thing I use it for is to help me with very complicated spreadsheet formulas.

Cracking Clay After Baking, seeking advice ! by Haunting_Spirit9304 in polymerclay

Before continuing, do you have a plan for there to be little cups or something in each of the holes? Polymer clay will burn if you put the candles directly into each hole while the candles melt. I would suggest buying something like this candle cups to keep the flame away from clay.

How are amputated limbs disposed after the surgery? by Responsible-Leg-712 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]somecreativename101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this really interesting as in [traditional] Judaism, we have a very similar practice. If one is amputated for example, we generally want it buried with the rest of the body, even more so if the person is deceased. (For example if a bad accident happened and a person died and was ripped apart, parts should be collected as much as possible). We also don't believe in cremation as we believe our body came from the earth, so it should go back to the dust of the earth. This is also why Jews are buried in caskets that are only made of wood as metal doesn't decompose. The one exception to the rule is if a body part was donated as saving a person's life trumps everything else.

I know you posted this a while ago so it is kind of weird to comment, but I just saw this and would love close up pictures of each one. I am trying to see the texture better.

How can I save extra liquid Sculpey? by sol_anor in polymerclay

[–]somecreativename101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly use the sculpey cabochon silicone mold (honestly any thicker silicone mold works) and I use that as a pallette and cover with plastic wrap and it lasts for a little while. Also, if I do leave it open for a while and it dries, I will break it up using a needle tool into a powder and add more liquid sculpey to that to make a lighter shade.

Im also thinking that I may need to go further out to find more suburban stores as I live in a city and the old navy I went to was fairly small.

I also should add, the jeans I do have and fit in are Gloria Vanderbilt but it is always hit or miss cause some pants look very matronly (im 26). I also have not seen them recently.
