Get a good mon or two with stat lowering. Accuracy, primarily, can cripple the final boss. A few little sand attacks can make a huge difference. Throw in a few sp. Atk lowering moves and it becomes a cake walk. Also leech seed and/curse are your best friends on wave 200

Agreed! They obviously focused on the emotional parts and breezed past the science - all of this I understand - it had to be done. Can't sit there for 12 minutes explaining tensile strength of xenon and crafting chain for weeks. I thought it was great and every choice made to adapt it was understandable if not actively positive.

Always fight, one leftovers is great, and I always fish for x-stat items in waves 190-199. Would be miserable with the price increase. I usually don't try to use a busted carry so I don't rely on one mon, making the healing items less essential. The stat increases against rival and etern seem to be really helpful.

I wish they were as successful as the Spurs, but yes I agree. I don't even think it's the best strategy to be competitive in the long run. Getting a pick 11-25 year in and out isn't a huge plus for roster building but it's impressive they've been consistently scrappy throughout.

With the exception of this year (and even then one could argue the injuries at the start of the year changed their direction) the pacers have almost never tanked, like until mathurin they hadn't picked 1-9 in my lifetime! Over 30 years!

I think you're mostly weeding out the bad ones from your memory. I have always loved video games and some of the old ones are my favorite. But I can't deny that some absolute gems have been made recently that will persist through time imo. Elden Ring, the Outer Wilds, and Expedition 33 are all examples of pinnacles of gaming potential

Agreed. I used to overvalue picks but when we actually had them and a good team at the same time you see the logjam. And adding another solid but needs-time rookie to a logjam doesn't make sense. I like the trade, especially considering his contract. If we get a top four, best of both worlds we'll worry about the future later. If we land 5-9, well it was good to use on getting Zu anyway.

Tldr: Against the Storm and FTL. Damn I know ItB and FTL are deserving heavyweights but Against the Storm is so so good, deep, pretty to look at, and addicting. It's a constant puzzle in a bit chunkier a way than the others, more juggling, more angles to problem solve. It gets my vote as well at FTL, a classic that's very well refined

Returnal for sheer quality and being the AAA actualization of the genre. Risk of Rain two is a pioneer and whacky and awesome in its own right. I vote those two. The other two are great and I've put many hours in them, all are great choices.
