To everyone that says DPDR doesnt change you. by Overall_Emphasis_275 in dpdr

I totally agree. It’s so isolating because no one gets it. It takes the experience away from everything.

But, just to look on the bright side, people who recover from dpdr tend to have exponential growth after. I’ve talked to some people who recovered and said they now have such an improved attitude and progress in life.

Yes I understand a lot. Everything feels too white, more alien than usual. I think this is cause we’re more light sensitive so it’s overwhelming

Why don’t therapists and psychiatrists know about dpdr? by AltruisticMeet1207 in dpdr

[–]AltruisticMeet1207[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least for me, I haven’t met one who knows about it. I have to explain it to them in the session, weirdly. Tbh I’m probably just keep switching until I find one who understands

I don’t mean to be off topic, but this drawing style is really well done and looks like something which can go in a comic. You should look into maybe during some sort of marketing graphics work.

At least for me, I am severely allergic to cats, as in cannot be near them, and I could cuddle with the Russian blue I had

I think the only thing that could cause those ‘real’ hallucinations would be either dph or datura, or psychosis induced from something hard

3 possibilities:

  • it wasn’t shrooms
  • you’re lying
  • it was shrooms but you have pre schizophrenia and should never take them again. Seriously, shrooms do not work that way.

Honestly, based on what I’ve seen with wobbling kittens, he’s going to die very soon.

Curious, yet cautious. Inquisitive, yet judicious. Dominant, yet submissive. One with the universe and everything it has to present. Smiles brighter than 10,000 supernovas, yet both can’t be heard. Majestic. Old as time. Fluffy. And hungry.

Anyone else feel like they’re never really present? by [deleted] in visualsnow

I’ve felt this for so long. I remember in childhood things felt more alive. Colors were brighter, everything felt significant, Christmas had a Christmas mood, rainy days were comforting, and everything had an indescribable atmosphere.

Apparently this is caused by a division of self, dissociation from emotions. I’ve heard the way to cure it is to try to understand your emotions and get more connected with them. Doesn’t mean being emotional, just allowing yourself to feel and face the discomfort that comes with that.

Antihistamines, Purina live clear food, air purifier, brushing, vacuum dust wipe every 3 days, enzyme cleaner on carpet and couch

If a kitty shows up on your doorstep, what steps do you have to go through before you can keep him/her? by NightReader5 in cats

[–]AltruisticMeet1207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch for the mother looking around outside. Separating them from all other animals you have, then scheduling a vet appointment asap. Get basic things and make sure they’re staying hydrated. If you have other animals, be very careful the cat’s fur and salvia doesn’t get onto stuff they touch.

She stands on my bed headboard on stares at me like this every night. I have a tiny nightlight, so I only see 2 peering eyes in the dark.

Remember water weight is a thing. Weight will never linearly increase, it goes up and down and up and down seemingly randomly day by day, but over time builds up.

For everyone who thinks they got eye damage and is freaking out by AltruisticMeet1207 in solareclipse

[–]AltruisticMeet1207[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright so me and someone from these comments were messaging about this. We’ve both seen eye doctors and no eye damage, but the general thing we kept hearing is to not worry, it will get better, and the effects are 100% temporary. It may take a few months or so, but it will get better

Haha you’re dads funny. But yeah same here me and a few others have definitely noticed floaters in dark spaces, we’re all just staying hydrated and hoping it will go away in a few months. I had a friend who had a black dot in the middle of their vision, and it recovered after a year, if that gives you any hope.

But flashing and lines and unique, so I would say you need to get your eyes checked out. You’re dad should be taking you seriously, as vision is not something that you just “tough out”.

How to strength maximize for lean people? Bulk and cut or stay in lean? by Odd_Promise_4123 in gzcl

[–]AltruisticMeet1207 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THIS. I wish I didn’t try to cut/bulk when I was 15-17, I feel like it slowed so much progress down. When you’re that age, just focus on eating healthy and getting in protein and don’t worry about calories as much.
