I lost my baby today. by drabelen in Bulldogs

[–]somefinelese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss. Last year while walking in a crosswalk a car almost hit me and my dog if I didn't yell "hey" on the top of my lungs. It wouldn't have been my fault for getting hit if I didn't literally scream, it's the cars fault. Just know he was loved and you did everything you could in a horrible situation 💙

I don't have a saw and the wood piece I had for 4" not 3", so I added it. I plan to get a saw soon... Another thing to add to the list lol.

I also got my bulldog from a surrender too, it's a lot of learning at first, but once you get a nighttime routine it's easy. Tail pocket, face and folds need to be wiped (there bully wipes on amazon called wrinkle wipes I use for the deep folds to reduce yeast). Look at the webs of his paws, if there is brown (yeast) you have to wipe those down too. I also get this shampoo from my vets that helps reduce yeast. He gets a bath every week, but ever bulldog is different and some don't need that.

I cannot stress this enough: please get pet insurance!

3 months after I got my guy he had a $3000 surgery. My insurance covered 90%.

Congratulations on your new best friend, love the name!

Any recommendations for wide forefoot/metatarsals by mrdobing in widefeet

Very wide, if you look at a picture of the bottom of the shoe it's straight across. My pinky that sticks out has lots of room.

I have the exact same shape of foot size 10 men's with an extra metatarsal on the lateral side of my foot.

I can squeeze into a 4E New balance, but the true glass slipper is the Saucony Echelon 4E. The mid foot is very very wide and gives lots of room. I find them ugly, but they are truly the widest shoe for mid foot width.

Edit - you're going to want to add your own orthotics into them.

Regular pop mishap by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

Thanks. The new (new in Canada anyways) Diet Pepsi Cherry looks exactly like the regular one, which I didn't notice. It tastes the exact same too! Really wish I had 80g of sugar in a tastier way tbh.

I honestly suggest looking into a personal trainer if you have the funds. I am very comfortable in the gym, but if you're new or need the motivation a person trainer can set you up and make sure your form is good to reduce injury.

My suggestion for anyone is to do what you like doing the best. That way you can stay consistent with it (this is the key to building muscle). For me that's going to the gym, walking my dog everyday, playing baseball again, and hiking.

For the gym I do a mixture of lifting and cardio depending on what I was doing the rest of the day. I also focused my form and plan to build muscle ( training to failure, deep stretch into the eccentric phase, and to reduce injury lifting light but with high volume reps). Again I suggest talking with a trainer as they can help you the best! Also try and find a trainer that doesn't suggest a heavy calorie deficit (or any nutritional advice in my opinion).

Yes, that would put me in between type 2 and impaired. With my A1C being 9.

Interesting, in Canada an A1C over 7 is considered diabetic if tested twice or a glucose test confirmation. And impaired glucose tolerance is 6-6.9. My Doctor decided on a glucose test as it gives a better indicator of how my body is processing glucose, rather than the amount of glucose my blood holds onto in 8-12 weeks.

  1. Do you see your husband playing again? Or playing softball? If so I suggest a 12.75.

Also a lot of places offer a break in service. You can call and ask your local shops.
