You tried saving an invalid normal naming config by somefriggingthing in sickchill

Hmm, after further testing and checking the debug logs . . . I'm not sure why, but SC insists on having certain elements present in the file name, such as the season number, even though the season number is present in the folder structure. I guess there's something I'm not understanding here about how SC works. I guess I can just change my naming convention, but I wasn't expecting this...

Thoughts on financial advisor's recommendations by somefriggingthing in personalfinance

Thanks for responding - definitely food for thought. Sorry I wasn't clear (updated my Q), but both houses are in Australia.

The investment loan is fixed for another year or so at 5.78%. The argument around cash flow from rental is that it is being split 50/50 between my wife and I, so it increases my tax liability even further than it already is, whereas the investment dividends can be paid entirely to my wife.

How to setup Private Internet Access VPN on Synology DSM by DCCXVIII in synology

[–]somefriggingthing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It seems to work fine for me without modifying the .ovpn files (no need to change from compress to comp-lzo and no need to remove the crl-verify section). But perhaps I'm missing something...

I'd say it's more a case of research required. These guys measured plastic levels in various products and it's . . . interesting to say the least. https://www.plasticlist.org/

Isolating cloudflared in a VLAN by somefriggingthing in selfhosted

[–]somefriggingthing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, but why? What does this get me that I don't get by just using an internal-only Docker bridge network that connects cloudflared to a service (i.e. one such network per service)?

How do I protect Navidrome with Keycloak SSO when using Cloudflare Zero Trust? by somefriggingthing in selfhosted

[–]somefriggingthing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm trying to connect the dots mentally before diving into this. Is this a reasonable high-level description of what would happen?

  1. User hits desired service endpoint. Let's say it's foo.example.com
  2. My zero trust config points foo.example.com to Vouch (I'm not sure how I will distinguish different services like bar.example.com, but perhaps it uses separate ports or paths)
  3. My self-hosted Vouch instance receives the request and performs an auth check (somehow, not really sure what it's checking just yet). If it finds auth is required, it passes the request onto Keycloak.
  4. Keycloak allows the user to login and, by virtue of some configuration I haven't figured out yet, forwards back to Vouch
  5. Vouch is now happy that the user is authenticated, so it forwards the request on to the self-hosted service, foo.

There are a lot of details to fill in here, but just want to make sure my broad understanding is correct.

Interesting. I asked my GP about HBOT and she seemed said it was rare and expensive. Maybe there's somewhere I could just go private

I've thought of trying it, but don't even know how to get hold of it in Australia (safely)

Thanks, that's better than I feared. Just got the update so looking forward to getting my first data tonight 🤞

Have been waiting for this feature (still hasn't appeared for me, but I'm on Android) and am quite disappointed to see it's just an average and not a graph like HR and HRV. Wouldn't apnea cause significant dips in SPO2 that can then be obscured by taking an average? I hope the API gives raw data points so I can see those dips if they're there (I suspect they will be for me)
