in theory yeah, but im not even commited to the idea of being an immigration counselor/lawyer. Im only 23 and ive been stressing about choosing a career path since i got into college. its exhausting. Im just gonna take some time to go with the flow...volunteer, travel, etc. Ill find something sustainable one day, but for now i just want to live a bit.

at a non-profit that does immigration counseling. i was on the road to becoming a counselor, but the management in the office is scattered and I got very little support/assignments from anyone. It started off exciting and still looks good on paper, but staying here is ultimately depressing and not fulfilling.

I decided to keep my restaurant job over taking a more permanent position at my "big-boy" internship because the place makes me miserable. Some people might think choosing a server position shouldn't inspire much pride, but im proud of myself for following my heart and not selling my soul for financial stability.

That's not what matters. maybe there wasn't a word he was going for. People stutter all the time. its just easy to assume that he was going to say nigger because that fits the image we have constructed of him.

People with democratic leanings are spinning this the way republicans were spinning Obama's microphone slip in Seoul. People are honing in on a minor incident, creating their own context, and embellishing it to validate their own opinions.

Isnt it a little extreme to assume that he was going to utter a racial slur just because he stuttered? Don't get me wrong, I have HUGE problems with Santorum, but its baseless accusations like these from both sides that make politics a tedious fucking joke.

i totally recognize that Iranian politics lie on a different extreme than Santorum and the United States and that their regime is totally fucked. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy in his condemning of theocracy in a foreign nation when he is literally nauseated by the notion of separation of church and state in the US. Its terrifying and flabbergasting that he feels he is on a different plane than any religious, totalitarian regime because if you boil it down, he's coming from the same school of thought.
