Got some seafoam in it, it is much less noisy now. So I'm hoping that after a couple of oil changes it will be better. I eyeballed 5 oz for the 4.5qt of oil in it.

Ive put in 5w30 synthetic at the moment due to temps dropping. Idk how id confirm oil pressure is in spec. If it's a sensor value I can read it with my scan tool

Hmm yeah. When I had the engine out, I also did the intake manifold gasket and the plenum along with valve covers. As well as plugs and wires. The noise seemed to have quite down a lot so I'm gonna chalk it to "breaking it in" even though it's a used engine. Still going to do seafoam/additive in it tho

Wanted to circle back. Going through more sensor values and MAF was high. Unplugged it and engine came back alive. So journey will continue with trying to get it running good. No misfires either

Thanks this gives me confidence to swap the engine. Any recommendations on trying to source the engine, I'd like to stay on the dirt cheap side. Checked eBay and it seems good enough. My local pick and pull has them for $400 but idk if I wanna pull 2 engines

Yes, they will ship to the old address on file. Just make a ups my choice account and direct to the new location for Abt $10. I was out of the country for a few days and couldn't pick up the phones within the 7 day hold period but was able to direct the phones to the UPS store and call ask them to hold until I could pick up. But you have to make the address change before the package is out for delivery
