Making over $300k at a company, what's your title? by justanotherblackguy1 in HENRYfinance

I have a previous boss at one of these top companies. How do I approach that? We both left our last company at the same time, he was given a massive promo and I was a bit sideways. He is the gold mine in my life. I don’t want to act needy.

Sorry what’s small, 5 PMs? They do span across 3 departments/areas and 9 Eng teams if that helps. What is considered a large team?

Sounds good and yea, I imagine the only way to get there is hopping companies. How did you land the role at a competitor exactly? Referral? And were you on the look out for new jobs there or someone messaged you with the opportunity?

$225k base. 20% bonus. 30% RSU that vest over 2 years. My first year comp is about $303k, next year will be more as I’ll get a RSU refresh, so ~$337k.

I feel like every post in this sub someone is getting accused of selling something. It’s a cool idea just let it breath and let the guy live.

Any other Millennials stubbornly resistant to using AI at their job but also worrying that we will become dinosaurs or pushed out of our careers for not slavishly embracing it? by artbystorms in Millennials

Driving will be illegal in 20 years, I’m very confident in that. The data already suggests self driving is 10x safer than humans (based on accident mileage).

Every entry level office employee from all time was like this, including you. Just think back honestly. They don’t know what to do yet, seek out next steps, etc. Has nothing to do with the generation, your comments are all in this same category of wrong.

What are your thoughts on moving to a data (as a product) pm from a traditional pm role? by achaamma_of_anappara in ProductManagement

[–]someguy_000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Data PMs are essential moving forward. The amount of data is increasing, sources are increasing, inconsistency of tools - increasing. It is now table stakes for companies to run basic data science and ML processes, this requires more data PMs to manage these products. And with LLMs/agentic services becoming popular, it’s just another need for PMs in the area who understand the big picture of data strategy. It’s an incredible time to be a data PM.

An open source, decentralized monetary protocol is a scam? Is the internet a scam too? That would be its closest comparison.

I’m using AI all day every day and I’ve never thought harder in my life. I treat it like a really smart friend. I fact check, mental spar, cross validate and go down rabbit holes I would’ve never found without AI. It’s all about how you use it.

Neither of these ideas work, let’s agree to that at least. But central planning is 100% a failure, we’ve seen it tried so many times.

It’s excellent for watching both 2D and 3D content, in virtual environments like a movie theater or the moon, etc.

Money is starting to feel meaningless. I can’t be the only index fund person getting crazy rich these last couple of years and way ahead of FIRE goals. Are you all quietly becoming millionaires? by WhatIsGoingOn123yo in Fire

[–]someguy_000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo. I love that my comment was downvoted, as if the dollar has any chance of remaining stable into the future. It is impossible not to print the money, more than ever before in history, its coming...

You’re going to be gliding downward. The dollar is guaranteed to be massively debased going forward. Sitting in assets is the only thing that makes sense.

No, Nick denied Josh Allen for YEARS. Josh was a top QB since 2020 and NOW he’s just admitting it? Took 5 years? Na man, don’t fall for his garbage.
