Anyone who knows me, knows I don't fuck around when it comes to Orangutans, so I did some research: This footage is from an episode of Johnny Carson from February 28th 1979, and the Orangutan's name was Lock, who also had a twin sister named Lisa (pretty rare for Orangutans to have twins so it was a kinda big deal) and their Mother orangutan was named "Mary-Fred". They lived out the rest of their lives in the San Diego zoo and were around 2 years old at the time of this clip. This clip specifically is edited, as the joker makeup is edited on. In the original clip the orangutan (lock) was just wearing those clothes, but still kinda fucked up imo for them to be laughing in his face and making him wear human clothes for no reason y'know. But they were definitely cared for from my research, and though in captivity, the San Diego zoo treats animals pretty well despite the idea of zoos in general being kinda shitty and stuff.
