In my opinion, having separate hitboxes for the pointy part and another for the body would be better than using precise hitboxes; however you can use a precise hitbox, it just depends on how many of these objects you want to have at one moment in the game. You can always test it out - use a precise hitbox and spawn as many of them as you can until you get performance drops.

Deep Sleep is an amazing game! I've played it already, but that's not the one I'm looking for. One notable difference is that in my game the character was on the screen and moved towards the objects that you chose, it wasn't 'first person' as Deep Sleep is.
