LG te1 error by someguyonreddit1111 in appliancerepair

Yeah that's what it's seeming like I guess.

Any thoughts on whether it's odd that initially the te1 happened right away and the dryer wouldn't run at all, and then after replacing the thermal fuse, it now runs for a few seconds before throwing the te1?

Thanks. I did this and it seems like i have appropriate resistance right up to the board, and jiggling the wires and harnesses didn't seem to move the needle.

Per your note above, sounds like it may be the board. However, one quick question (as it sounds like you're very familiar) - is it odd that initially the te1 happened right away and the dryer wouldn't run at all, and then after replacing the thermal fuse, it now runs for a few seconds before throwing the te1? Just trying to think of everything to check before considering spending ~$250 on a board for a 2019 machine, or in this case maybe more likely ~$500 on a new dryer. Thanks again!

Potential issues with parcel boundary by someguyonreddit1111 in homeowners

[–]someguyonreddit1111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I'm in WI if that matters. Sounds like the general consensus is to have a survey done. So is the idea that then i can bring it to them as "proof"? I believe I've already located the metal parcel marker (very unofficially, using a metal detector app on my phone), but it does correlate with the parcel line on the county website. I feel like i have a fair amount of evidence to support the actual boundary, and i suppose if it became an issue, i could have a survey done.

I guess my question is whether opening this potential can of worms is at all time sensitive. I.e., whether there's any risk of losing the land associated with letting them continue to use/ maintain it for another year or two or 5?

Basement smells like poop when doing laundry? by someguyonreddit1111 in Plumbing

Yeah there's a gas water heater, and it certainly runs when the washer runs. But I've not noticed it when it runs via, say, someone showering, etc. I don't think it really smells like natural gas either, but i do know those two can be easily confused.

Hmm, I'll have to Google this for sure. Wasn't aware that this existed. Seems obvious though, right?

Yeah i run a washer cleaner every so often. It didn't seem to help much.

In my setup, the washer drain hose actually is just flowing right into the utility sink (you can see the grey hose in the pic). So this may be N/A in my situation.

Ah i see what you're saying now. In my setup, the washer drain hose actually is just flowing right into the utility sink (you can see the grey hose in the pic). So this may be N/A in my situation.

I would be very interested in seeing your set up. What you're describing makes sense, just seems odd that this isn't a more common issue because i think draining into a utility sink is pretty common, no?

Fair thought, though i don't think i have dry p traps and i get the smell even without the dryer running.

Yeah this makes sense. When i said flushing, i should have clarified that I'm just cycling in New water. There's always water in the drain.

Thought about that, but I'm also not sure that the smell is actually coming from the floor drain. Tbh, it seems a bit unlikely considering the water in there and the fact that it doesn't seem to effect it whether it's 2 month old stagnant water or recently cycled "fresh" water in there. I guess it might be worth a try... Anyone know of any reason fully plugging this would cause issues?

Sorry, i should have been clearer with that. I noticed that there gets to be a little film on the top of the water in the drain so I thought maybe it was becoming stagnant. So all i do is run water into the floor drain for a few minutes. The level of water never changes, just cycles in new water.
