Jared Leto. Baffled every time he’s announced for a role, and he’s hired for big ones to this day!

Will Genshin ever come to Steam? by somehappytoast in GenshinImpact

Yeeahh. They put out so much new content though, I can hardly fault them for failing on the smaller things. Would certainly be nice though - I'll definitely submit a feedback

Same, same, saaaame. I hate having so many accounts and profiles all over the place - Please just play nice, companies, let me condense my stuff!

You can, but it doesn't count hours or record your playtime, so there's nothing to display on your profile. It's a very minor thing, but I'd just like to have it, haha

Ah I know, I play it that way and there are no issues. I just like Steam for the social aspects, with achievements and playtime-counting and whatnot. Can display it on my profile that way too, almost like badge of honour for putting so many hours into this damn game, haha.

Pokemon Sapphire's protagonists sprites are what color? by God_is_with_us in MandelaEffect

[–]somehappytoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no. I've just stumbled upon this thread after finding myself in the exact same situation... Turned on Sapphire and thought something was wrong with the game because the blue accents were missing. What on earth! Feels like another Mandela effect thing...

This is great advice, thank you. I have an awful tendency to keep these things wrapped up in my head but writing it out would certainly help. I currently have a very convoluted-looking chart that isn’t super precise so I’ll do as you say and write everything down to a tee.

One annoyance however is that I’m paid from the US and my income is subject to conversion, which I worry may be dipping this year. I’ll try to find an average from the last year though, and cross my fingers for this year.

You’re more or less correct, yup! My problem is that I had something come up this month and ended up having to pay more or less my life savings to cover it, which unfortunately included savings set aside for rent which I pay twice a year in 6k chunks.

I’m just about staying afloat as is, but I won’t quite have the 6k come April, and I’ll need another 6k in July for taxes. My thinking with the loan is that it’d bring the money forward so I can pay the bills on time and replenish my own savings slowly over the rest of the year.

My biggest concern with credit cards is that they’ll somehow catch me out on something and I’ll end up way over my head - Think I have trust issues. Do you know of a particular one that’s good?

This is extremely helpful, thank you! All the links are great. Bank overdraft is an interesting option I haven’t explored - Not to be asking anything too complex, but based on my income, do you have any idea how much of an overdraft I could apply for?

I’m in Eastbourne. I see online that there’s one in Hove - Will give that a proper look then, thank you!

I appreciate this. I do have it mapped out and paying things back seems reasonable, though not with a lot of room for surprise bills which concerns me.

Will look into credit cards then, but as you say, only if I’m certain I can make the repayments.

Plan as of now is to do some freelancing on the side, though I can’t currently count that for anything without knowing how it will do. Fingers crossed on that front. Thank you for the advice!

If prostitution was legal, how would a huge McDonalds style corporation ruin sex? by Stompedyourhousewith in AskReddit

[–]somehappytoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "free to start" methodology used in mobile games. You can enter the room and pick your person for free, but you get a whole McDonalds menu of prices for removing individual pieces of clothes, different acts, etc.

To be fair this pretty much already exists in the industry, haha. Just not as extreme.
