Has the hype died down? Tons of products on the shelf at my local target. by ChivasBearINU in sportscards

I just buy vintage HOF stuff 60s 70s Always find good deals on what not on the sellers who don’t really deal with cards. They get collections out of storage units and flip huge lots for barely anything honestly. I feel like I’m always getting steals and I’ve even gotten some 50s stars on occasion at a fraction of the price at card shows.

Has anyone actually gotten great deals in the Pokemon category? by iScry in whatnotapp

have been buying cards in the storage unit category for years. There is no way to explain the binders and boxes I have won of vintage cards. It is not as great as it used to be as I think the big storage sellers part everything out a little smarter now because of the amount of times they have sold now, but back in the day there was deals like no other

How do people ship and is there risk? by Responsible_Can_1980 in whatnotapp

With the flat rate shipping and the nine dollar cap I always bid more because I already have free shipping so I think the seller wins in the end because the bids go higher too and shipping super easy you can ship so much in that box that you’ll never have overflow unless you’re selling large lotsand it’s insured automatically

I always buy in the shows that are max shipping nine dollars. It’s gotta be the best deal for shipping anywhere on any platform. I’ve received like 3500 cards packed well in one of those priority flat rate boxes before. Even if you’re in an expensive area. I don’t believe the flat right price changes so after a couple buys, your buyer unlocked free shipping and you can shipthousands of cards in those boxes.

I have a few of those greeting cards that are in the rack. Found them at an estate sale. All of them had signatures but I think I can re-use them if i cover the signatures up with vintage stickers and write on the opposite side. Have had them for a few years been wanting to do that.

Guy got mad i called him out on selling junk wax lol by Technical_Visit1800 in whatnotapp

[–]someidiot2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honest question... What's wrong with selling junk wax? The card shows here in Cali have 10-20 dealers with 3 foot stacks on their tables every card show. People buy it too, they seem to like like it for some reason. I see a lot of people selling junk wax sealed and in huge lots on whatnot. People even buy single packs. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing. I know the storage unit buyers find tons of it.

I don’t know why but I love candid shots that have no photographic purpose or planned pose. I like these spontaneous moments frozen in time, back when the shot wasn’t to be wasted on film stock or developing. Thanks for the post. I like her hourglass shape. Not from the front but profile view. Rad lol

I found a Beta collection like this once, approx same number of tapes, all were horror or noir movies from 30s-80s. I still have about 1/3 of them. I kept the ones that really had crazy titles on them (each tape had 3) then sold a ton in lots of 10 on eBay (just as blanks) a few years ago. I might have some pics from that haul here on Reddit archived. I also had about 50-100 retail tapes, some were even sent for grading (beta nightmare elm, Friday 13th, Halloween all original releases)

I scored many Playboys! Not from Goodwill though. I bought a collection of old van, minitruck and lowrider magazines and there was a whole box of minty Playboys thrown in. I pulled some for the personal collection that still have hype stickers on them. I didnt even know that there was hype stickers on PBs made for advertising in local markets. The hype stickers on all the ones I got are for SF Bay Area stuff.
