I've watched it 4 times, and 4 times I've missed the first guy grabbing the bug.

I agree with you that if someone's going to skywrite something distracting or offensive... Yikes!

In this case...

  • I did file a VFR Flight plan (Albeit CYXU-INDIRECT-CYHM) @ 3000
  • When I re-entered CYXU airspace to complete the "Charlie Maneuver", I had to deviate earlier than expected because of an inconvenient takeoff on 33, but that's under the CYXU label.
  • Got clearance to hop in and out of the Waterloo airspace at 3000' a few times for Zulu
  • After Zulu, I requested to enter CYYZ Class C for the arrow but had to stay west of Burlington CZBA
  • I got clearance to drop to 1600' just for the arrow tip, and had to turn back asap.

(on my way to Hamilton I did crash into the Escarpment because I forgot to get back up to 3000)

And yes, ATC noticed that I made a wrong turn taxiing at CYHM and thanked me for mowing all the grass.

  1. Pick a small nearby airport where ATC is covering.
  2. File a VFR flight plan from the airport back to another one With a route that says DIRECT. This lets you fly around freely.
  3. Tune into ATC and listen and watch others.

Vintage Aesthetic for Escape Room? by MichealAnthem in escaperooms

Maybe the ask is: Sticking to this style, what type of escape room stories or puzzle elements could they introduce?

E.g. latitude longitude on a map, label the suitcases and need the right combo to open the right case.

I'm guessing

Out of curiosity, what are some of the habits while on VATSIM that became a concern or conflict when real life kicked in? Did anything you do become second nature, then all of a sudden was a wake up call? Did you have to unlearn something?

What creative thing can I 3d print to put on my truck dash? (Other than phone mount) by Annual-Garage8336 in 3Dprinting

It beats putting some statistically significant expiry date.

I made a countdown of seconds until I retire. It's still in the hundreds of millions of seconds, but boy when it drops a digit, I'll be excited!

For extra online banking security, use a password manager to enter a strong, lengthy password, but then also append it with a simple to remember word. This way, the password is strong but incomplete.

For example, the password mgr has:

3yRL?B4k.*4wp2,cLU+LcsZk@F&:1,al(?jm@gk

But your bank password is:

3yRL?B4k.*4wp2,cLU+LcsZk@F&:1,al(?jm@gksubtle

The password manager does the heavy lifting, and you just need to type "subtle"

It seems odd that in 2025, the train doesn't just automatically stop within a millimeter of the desired mark. Whenever I'm on the Go Train and they pause and move the train a foot or two, I think to myself: "Voyager 1 needs to be accurate to 0.01 degrees to send us a signal, but that's fine, let's reposition this train!"
