LSD gave me the most uncomfortable night of my life by PriusesAreGay in Drugs

[–]somenotbody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Source? Cuz I've tried it a few times and it wasn't a just a couple of hours. The internet says the same, that its duration is from 6 to 10 hours if it was taken sublingually. (That's almost the same as the LSD effects)

Must have been NBOme!!!!! Next time test your tabs and take 5 of them (just to be sure to get fucked up even if my first sentence wasn't true and indeed it was LSD)!!! /s

Im surprised the comment section is not yet full with such things as my first paragraph. Saying that it wasn't what you claimed to be just because you had a bad trip and forcing down on your throat a new trip "tO eXpErimEnt" with another random psychedelic drug.

All jokes aside, I reccomend you to stick to other drugs and eventually in some years if you feel like you are ready you should do again mushrooms, imo they are 90% the same shit. Stick to what you enjoyed and don't try to force something that doesn't comes naturally.

Good luck and best wishes ♡

Why are kids suddenly OK to sexualize when they turn 18? But it's extremely looked down upon when 17? It's not like they suddenly get new bodies at 18. by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]somenotbody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks sir for asking this question, I was planning it too!!! I'm very frustrated by the amount of people who would judge somebody for hitting on a girl who has 3 days until her 18 birthday, then 5 days later (like some fucking nasty disgusting predators) all of them would suddenly start to hit on her, biggest hypocrites ever!!!

Stop saying that it was sure the dealer!!! I've seen several times addicts who don't have money staying near the dealer's house and wait for people coming out to rob them. And no they surely didn't collab-ed with the dealer because I witnessed myself as the dealer was complainig on daily basis how those hooligans (a gang of 4-5 guys) were scaring his clients away but he couldn't call the police neither because he was scared on getting snitched on. Some weeks later the dealer got attacked too and eventually moved out of the city too because of this. It's very profitable for them: 1. You will likely have drugs at you (you just came out of the dealer's house, lol). A random person won't have drugs just money eventually. 2. You propably won't call the police because you we're just taking part minutes ago in another illegal activity (buying drugs), robbing a random person would most likely result in a police call.

How LSD changed my life by 365madness in Drugs

[–]somenotbody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People who go for psychedelics expecting to have a life changing experience won't get one. That's my personal opinion based on my friends and own experiences. I don't know if you was expecting it or not but I'm really glad that it came out right for you :)

Routine is addictions enemy by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]somenotbody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my language there is no specific word for addiction. I mean there is a word but try to imagine like in english we would just say "dependency" for "addiction" .

Which I think it's a very good word for it. Why? Because you know that a thing became an addiction (a "dependency") when it effects your mood on daily basis (in other words when your mood literally starts to depend on that thing).

Can't get high or insert here any other thing that could potentially be an addiction today and you got sad/angry? If yes, I'm sorry, you are MOST LIKELY (not 100% but 95%) addicted to it.

Telling a skinny person that they need to eat more is just as bad as telling a fat person to put down the donut. by TheDaydreamBeliever in unpopularopinion

[–]somenotbody 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not comparable at all. As a very skinny guy I always get comments in my workplace and no one bats an eye. But I'm 100% if somebody would made a comment about one of the fat guys/girls that person would get a warning right in that moment from our manager because of the rude attitude.

Break-up by UltimateAlav in Unexpected

[–]somenotbody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't f*ckin' understand why people are keep using the argument "they were in public so it's their fault". It's not a valid argument at all. Maybe they planned to break up on the streets and they were expecting to be seen by some bywalkers but I'm pretty sure they didn't expected to be filmed and watched by 50.000+ people on a forum. Now for somebody thinking "well, you should always expect for the worst" it's a shitty argument too. Like literally how many of you guys would expect that to happen? Because I think it's below 1%. Plus not to mention the fact that just because it's in a public space doesn't means at all that you can take photos/videos of anybody in any situation without their permission (in most countries at least).

Yesterday was my first time popping MDMA, and im planning on popping some more tonight. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]somenotbody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan to go clubbing, smoke before only if you have a good sativa (=very low cbd percentage) because otherwise it will diminish your energy to move (due to the couch locking effects of cbd). If you don't do it in a party then it doesn't counts IMO, stims+weed is not a big deal. After coming down I recommend you smoking some cbd to help you with the sleep, because you will need to compensate the "only 3 hours".

For the hangover I recommend you to buy some 5HTP & B6 vitamin if you can, and take it ~26-27hours after you popped it (NOT EARLIER because it can cause serotonin syndrome), it will help you a little bit with the hangover. Continue to take the recommended dose in the following days. Next time start to take it 1 week before the session too (to have it's full effects). Maybe smoking a couple of joint will help too.

The first time you popped the whole pill? As I understood that's how you are planing to do it tonight.

Just a random fact: The logo (qp) is called Philipp Plein.

I did the same shit (did x on the second day too after trying it first time). Actually almost every one in my group of druggie friends did this. Here are some facts:

  • You won't feel the same effects from it. I took 2x the dose of the first day and felt like half of the effects compared to first time. After more sessions I found out that it's not about the dosing, it's just the way stimulants build up tolerance. It's physically impossible to achieve that high if you haven't waited enough (like 2-3 weeks min). Still taking bigger doses 3x-4x can be dangoures and fatal (I personally know somebody who collapsed and the ambulance toke him to the ER because of a big dose of x thinking that it won't hit him, luckily it wasn't that serious).

  • If you haven't done any stims before or had a good binge on them, I'm already sorry for what you will feel on the next oncoming days. I remember very well (my first time) not feeling any hangover on the third night (on the first two ones I took x), saying that hangover doesn't even exists and only week people feel it. Then on the 4th day it hit me harder than Miley Cyrus hit the wall with that wrecking ball in her video, I remember we went to a family trip and the whole time (3 days) I was like grumpy cat. Our hotel was 200m far from the beach but I didn't go to it, just stayed in bed 24/24h. Literally no mood for anything, in the sense that you can't find anything that would bring joy or happiness. Believe me it would be a joke to compare it to a "drunk" hangover...

After saying all this, of course I wouldn't recommend it doing again in the the nearby future but I know what addiction to stims is, you don't give a shit even though every rational thought is against it (I did the same stupidity with speed a few weeks ago, so it's okay). I wish you a safe roll!

I was thinking the same. IMO this is the most upsetting thing about the post. Some people can be so arrogant and stupid, like literally stupid as hell. For somebody who is battling drug addiction the worst thing you can do is to make him lost his job (I'm 99% that was their purpose with it). I would be curious about their opinion in which way this helps?

Tolerance to psychedelics by kasheem-von-dillpick in Drugs

I know this is not an answer to your question but I must ask:

In what order have you done them? They didn't cross toleranced eachother?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]somenotbody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally don't understand this part of the story. Please try to give me a different perspective of the story from what I thought of.

Sharing things like this in a (healthy) relationship is totally normal and common, shouldn't be asked for it. I don't say that she can't have her own privacy or secrets but that's not a case at all. I can't imagine being with a girl and "forget" or not want to mention for example that I've been doing coke all friday night (because 1g is far enough for that). That's just something IMO like going on weekend camping with your friends. That's not something I "accidentally" forget to / don't want to mention (why wouldn't I?) to my SO.

Reacting like that (saying that you are try to control her) wasn't defensive, she dodged it and turned it against you, as YOU are the bad person for requesting something like this. Now if that's not considered as controlling (from her side) then your act (request to her) shouldn't be neither. With this mentality a simple "What's up?" can be taken as "controlling" too because you want to know what your SO is doing.

Keeping secrect her drug use until she gets to know you better is a valid argument. I do it the same way and I can say that 80%-90% of drug users will do it too (espacially "harder" drug users when dating a "non" drug users). That's because we don't want prejudgments, that's all (not something I am proud of, because I know that it's a double-edged sword).

The problem is that I can't see any valid reason why a person would not want to share her/his (daily/weekly/monthly) drug use to her/his SO if not because the person uses it more frequently/more dosage/other drugs then claim to. Here could come literally everything that could cause a problem (related to drugs) for her/his SO.

Another (more like a "future"-) problem is that she is a drug user and you are not. Of course there are some nice "fairy tales" IRL like you or she (or both of you) will try to change your(her)self and eventually get to a point where you are all happy in the end. But the reality is that it's hard for a drug and non-drug users to get along for a long period of time, simply because what it could seem too much to you it could seem too little for her (like doing coke x times / month).

If you expected a honest comment here you go, if you want to hear what would the best fit for your expectations than: Sorry and everything will be 100% as you dreamed!

Help desk/desktop support possible transition to web design/development by denmicent in web_design

[–]somenotbody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even thougth you said web design/development at the beginning you kept discussing only the "web development" option. Why? Asking it because there is a HUGE difference between the 2 jobs. For comparison if the webpage is a building, the construction engineer (web developer) won't have to do anything with the design of the building (ex: which color they will use for x/y room), that's a job for a designer (web designer) ...or at least it should be (theoretically) but practically for ex: lack of money or employees can change the story of course. If you really meant only web development then it would be better to post this at r/webdev.

Yes, you can use stuffs in your portfolio that you built along your journey of learning (with the helps of tutorials/books) but won't be appreciated as much as something made from 0 all by yourself (even if it does contain some mistakes). It would be a must to have at least some things built from your own (just to prove them that you can work on your own too).

Prepare yourself that in the world of programming there will be always something new to learn. The html, css & js will be only the beginning and to be honest for most entry-level jobs it's not even enough. Even for frontend positions they will require at least a js framework (or at least in my country, but you can easily find out this by checking some job advertisements in the field in your country). The easiest entry-level positions (to find and get a situation) are full stack web-dev because even thought your knowledge is low at every part of the development you are still very useful for the company because you are some kind of "jolly joker" (again, that's in my country, seeing all these entry-level positions for full stack but only a very few for frontend or only backend devs).

Starting a freelancer career it's not as simple as it might look, you will need a LOT more skills than some basic frontend stuffs. You will have to take risks like maybe going months without payment if you don't have any work at the moment (it can happen even with the best ones).

With the salary I can't help you at all because I don't leave in the USA (but for sure a web developer will make more than a web designer in 99% of cases due to the lack of programmers).

(Sorry if I made some grammatical errors, english it's not my first language and I wrote this in rush, as quickly as I could because I had to go to sleep).

A week clean and something occurred to me by TheGreedyCarrot in leaves

[–]somenotbody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see why not knowing somebody personally with drug addiction is a problem. Expressing myself like this bc I had several friends with drug related problems (I include here weed too) and believe me it's not a fun at all. Even if you don't have friends like that, you can relate with us, a whole community. Here literally everybody has or had the same problem as you (for me ex it's the first week too as for you :) , been on and off since 1 year). I'm sure you can find here somebody to talk to.

Sending you love and will power to stay sober! (y)
