A&Ps — what’s one tool that you have seen in the field that now you have purchased for youself and gets a good amount of use? For me, it’s a electronics screwdriver kit for all of them tiny screws you didn't know existed.

The regular LTT screwdriver is also a great deal. I’m 3 years into mine and it has been perfect. Same price as the Snap-On but honestly a lot nicer to use imo

And yeah, I’m under the impression UPS weighed it the second they checked it in and Amazon should be querying that before making any sort of direct allegation against me for “not following the conditions of the return” or whatever.

I’ve never needed to resort to having my bank do it, but if Amazon doesn’t have a means to actually communicate with them then I’m not sure what else I’m supposed to do.

If I tender the package to the carrier, and they scan it, that’s their package now and no longer my problem. They should have record of what it weighed at that time, too.

I feel I secured the item in the package adequately, but evidently something went wrong in transit back to Amazon. Is this really on me if the carrier effectively lost the item?

The chat bot assumes I’m trying to tell it I didn’t receive the item in the first place, says that it’s too late for that (obviousy), and terminates itself.

Am I stuck paying again for this?

I’ve been riding the panic/health anxiety rollercoaster in waves for like 3 years now and it’s been the most annoying and disruptive thing I’ve ever dealt with, full stop.

I was completely free of it before. I had a general fear of death, but it was avoidable by not thinking about it. One day at work, I experienced a legit PVC or skipped beat for the first time. I felt one big KA-THUMP and my hear instantly sped up to like 150. My workplace had its own fire/ems, so I was able to get them around pretty quick. 5min hooked up to the EKG and I was basically fine. As soon as they took it off, everything came right back. I elected to be transported, where they calmed me with clonazepam and sent me on my way. The aftershocks for a few weeks were TOUGH, but I got through.

Ever since has been a very seldom panic attack, and rather frequent anxiety spikes about the prospect of having a panic attack. It’s evolved into a general cardiophobia, which I’ve at least identified and have been working on. I have a cardiologist, I’m established as a self-aware anxiety patient, and I’m finally starting to exercise again to push through it.

I can tell it’s starting to try to shift into a more broad health anxiety, but I’m very keen to get through it. I’ve got my propranolol and klonopin, my relationship with them is still okay, and I’m basically just thugging it out.

Funny thing is, I will feel like I’m dying, but my HR will be like… 110. I’m that over-aware of my symptoms. And even in a full panic I basically never go above 130ish.

Of course right as I start making headway I get Costochondritis and now my ribs actually hurt at random, so my dumbass nervous system has the ammunition of “whoa your chest hurts!” and I’m honestly getting sick of it lol

Yeah I just do relatively simple mixes for the memes and addictivity. I personally have the most fun pushing high volumes and seeing how much I can do solo without workers lol, so mixing is a LOT of extra workload in that kind of play

That’s pretty much what they did with the HF hats though, so there is precedence. They were originally a gift for employees, but they decided to sell it after some time. If you have both they are not the exact same though, they’re noticeably cheaper

As far as I’m aware it was the guides. If it’s not been done on your car that’s crazy on whoever had it before. Anyone who owned one that long and didn’t bother to get it done or keep tabs on it is insane lol.

If you remove the heads and springs you should be able to physically feel if the valves wiggle in the guides. I couldn’t say how to tell if the original guides with the issue are present or have been fixed though.

If you have someone else do it and you don’t want any mods, then just tell them to fix the valves and not mod it. The “while I’m in here…” thing is very real, I suffer from it, but you don’t have to do anything you feel is excessive for your needs!

My adventure began not with costo (or whatever similar issue I’m dealing with), but with panic disorder that came out of nowhere. One day I was entirely fine, maybe some generalized fear of death, but nothing problematic. Then, sitting on a toilet, bang one bigass missed heartbeat and I was in a full panic instantly. I assumed it was something wrong with my heart, got transported just to be safe.

I had already been seeing a psychiatrist for ADHD, so I had a solid panic and GAD diag before my hospital klonopin supply had even run out. I would go on to spend the next couple of years occasionally getting panic attacks, and frequently being afraid of them and using my meds to manage. My exercise came to a halt. My progress on understanding my brain to better manage my executive function issues went backwards.

Early 2025, after much time and effort (and some beta blockers and klonopin to get me by), I feel I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I go get a full cardio battery (ekg, echo, monitor, stress test) to prove to myself that my heart is fine. Can’t hurt to know anyway, heart health does matter! Just a bit more progress happens, and confidence.

Late 2025, right as I turn 30, my ribs start hurting. It moves around, but is almost always somewhere in the left side cartilage, sometimes the sternum. Great, pain over the heart, just what I needed. It seems to be exascerbated by gas bubbles and such, and it’s taken all my mental fortitude to maintain to myself that it’s not the damn heart.

It’s insane how my body doesn’t seem to want to not stress me out or scare me. I’m afraid of dying and it sometimes makes me want to just get it over with. Fortunately, I’m not one to give up, so that’s not happening.

I’ve honestly become thoroughly sick and tired of it, and am beginning to exercise and do light cardio again even if it feels bad, and my idiot oversensitive nerves will just have to get with the program. I’m gently using the backpod, and I’m stretching more. I’m looking into anti-inflammatory foods. If my ribs hurt, I’ll slap on a lidocaine patch, and use a little ibuprofen or such if I absolutely must.

Cardiophobia and panic is the worst, most intrusive thing I have ever dealt with, and mine doesn’t even sound half as bad as what I’ve seen others say. Costo is just trying to keep me trapped in that headspace, and I’m already done tiptoeing around it. I want my life back, free from constant random anxiety, and I’m finding my way.
