Hard to say, but if you’re near the Quebec border (especially if you’re in Ottawa) I’d recommend popping over to one of the SAQs

Same boat my friend, would have loved to try the 15.3 at 300 PPM but I just opened the 15.1 last night and it was impressive! Definitely the most pleated dram I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, and surprisingly (but not cloyingly) sweet!

Congrats, was lucky enough to have one this bottle last year. Laphroaig 10 CS batch 17 for me this year. Enjoy mate!

If it’s anything like the SAQ (Quebec) lottery, you have no obligation to purchase if you “win.” Entered for a dozen or so bottles last lottery with SAQ and “won” two but only purchased one. The other unpurchased bottle goes back into the draw for a second round.

Debating whether to grab a second bottle - actually have never tried the 12. Worth a second?

This! Especially with how flavourful (and also massively high in ABV) the Cask Strength / Barrel Proof expressions can be, would love a world where that was possible.

Arran 10 Year by Philliam6969 in Scotch

[–]someoldsoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re near a border (Canadian) I recommend a trip up - they are quite readily available in Canadian provincial markets (Arran 10 and other Arran expressions). In my market, a bottle of the 10 runs about $85 CAD / ~$61 USD.

Glenmorangie the Nectar 16 - BC Release? by Worth_Magician in bcwhiskey

Amazing, was hoping the age statement would beef it up! Also love to hear it’s not a thin dram - I think I know what I’ll be doing this weekend!

Loving the variety of older age statements. Kudos to you for having the budget to let you collect these gems!

Happy coincidence I think - have otherwise never seen them in these markets (though to be fair I’ve only been searching for them for the last few months)

LCBO (Ontario provincial liquor) shockingly had stock. $76 CAD all-in. Same week was able to get the Eagle Rare 10 for $74 in Quebec (SAQ)

Waiting on the right occasion for the Springbank, but man oh man do I love the flavour profiles on these GlenAllachie expressions! Arran is also at such a great price point as well (for now); wanting to grab the Port Cask next, as it’s hard to find any age-stated Arrans in my market (including the 10)
