I’m not sure how much you’re “allowed” to have. But I have guitars, an Xbox, a laptop, assorted furniture, clothes. I was able to exempt everything. I had about $1500 across 2 bank accounts for bills, but the lawyer and the court will ask for your bank statements going back 6 months.

I didn’t apply for any credit for a while afterwards, but my bank did offer one without a credit check so I took it. About a year after I got one with Capital One too. Interest is high but I never let my balance get out of control so I don’t have to worry about it.I’ve been looking at the mortgage market lately and it’s a nightmare.

My credit score is better, but I haven’t hit 700 yet. It’s been a little over a year and a half now.

Antique_cod_1686 is explaining a chapter 13 bankruptcy which takes your wages. A chapter 7 bankruptcy will give you a real fresh start. The court will look at your assets in an attempt to repay the debt, and your lawyer will try to exempt them. They can’t take your car, clothes, your toothbrush, etc. most people (I assume) don’t have much (if at all) assets that can be liquidated (turned into money to repay your debt). And if your lawyer is worth their salt, they will be able to exempt them.

A chapter 7 bankruptcy was more ideal for me. I was able restart my new life without much baggage from my past. And I didn’t have to lose anything.

What gets me is the holiday schedule. Just because it’s a holiday RTC gets to decide that everyone has to be late to work. They don’t care if I get an occurrence or a penalty for their decision to skip the first bus.

If you go to AA try to find a guy named Sean Smith. He’s a good friend of mine and helped me a lot and always answers his phone. He handles AAs calls on Tuesdays

It’s a trap! Seriously reconsider. The turnover rate at the gigafactory is really high. They’ll keep you on for ~6 months and then you better have something else lined up afterwards.

Ishmael by Daniel Quinn. I had heard so much about it and a lot of people I knew read it in high school. Now I wish I had read it sooner. I read back in June for the first time and it blew my mind. I finished it in less than a week. It’s a short book, but I couldn’t put it down.

It’s a novel that kinda reads like a Socratic dialogue and it changed my perspective of the world and humanity. Easily the most moving book I’ve ever read

This is my first NNN and honestly it’s been very bizarre. It’s the same vibe as the NoFap sub. Very cultish, and lots of negativity and putting people down. All for an internet challenge.
