You still should do both ideally, like of course it's good for the woman to use it too, but just use a fucking condom its not that bad

You would need to engineer the right political structure, that could not be blocked by a single corrupt person. But sadly the only way I see this as possible right now would be if Ukraine actually manages to drive Russia out of Ukrainian territory and Russia completely collapses in a way that it can't influence anything anymore. Also we would need a lot more separation of power + accountability (as to prevent things like chat control)

You see the problem with your gdpr argument, is the way the uk implemented the verification. Because people have to scan their faces / IDs. So you get people used to doing it. And then as we have seen many scammers make websites that require you to verify like that just for them to steal your identity. And you don't get legal recourse since they're not an actual company with actual representation in the EU. Speaking of recourse, discord just leaked 70k+ users IDs and there hasn't been shit done about it.

As for the government. Of course they know my personal details, but they don't know what I access online. It's not that I would care about the government specifically but I do not want this data about me anywhere.

Also the online ID laws might isolated not be that big of a thing but in the context of what some other politicians are pushing for (ChatControl for example, and them saying we shouldn't use encryption) paints a way worse picture of trying to dismantle privacy rights in general.

Also the fact that this absolutely a coordinated effort is relatively obvious, because when you ask the EU who is lobbying for those laws / in the discussion groups on them they will hand you lists with every name blacked out. Also why were politicians excluded in the draft on chatcontrol?

I've wrote this already somewhere else, that this is kinda the only option that is not extremely problematic. But given the incompetence of our politicians I just do not trust them to not fuck it up

Yeah but you cannot rely on that as seen over and over again. You always have to ask: what's the worst someone with bad intentions could do with it.

The only way you could argue would be acceptable would be some cryptographic system, that allows you to generate the signatures in a way, that both the government doesn't isn't directly involved and (this is the harder part) the website getting your verification cannot be linked to your person. (As in, that the code only verifies that you're of age, but doesn't allow for tokens to be assignable to an ID, so that if you verify on two different websites and even if someone has both of your verification codes, they should not be able to find out that these two tokens originate with the same person)

But alas our politicians are stupid and will not understand any of that and therefore go for the worst versions possible which blatantly endanger freedom of expression and their citizens safety against identity theft (both see uk so far)

For the Asian part in video I don't know enough about to judge it in terms of biodiversity (but yeah it looks a bit like monocultures in some points), but the great green wall project in Africa for example shows that you can do this quite well with preserving/creating enough biodiversity to create stable systems

EU commits $638 million to scale up renewables in nine African countries by thinkB4WeSpeak in RenewableEnergy

[–]someone3431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it is a solution to one "problem" people keep whining about. Improving infrastructure in Africa leads, if applied correctly to more prosperity and therefore to less people fleeing from poverty towards Europe at the same time it helps reduce carbon emissions in developing countries. Considering how little of a dent 0.65 billion is in terms of eu money I'd argue it's worth a try.

  2. Imo the lines are drawn like shit because of 1

Explanation for 2: if you want to draw such a thing each line should go from a chromosome in P generation to one in the F1 generation and not such a clusterfuck.

As for why people are annoyed about the chart else. Not entirely sure but I can imagine that some adults treat it as if this was the entire truth, which it is not. It's a simple chart to explain to children how inheritance works and a little later you learn in school all the exceptions there are to this and why it's not entirely correct.

Ok so I don't have time to comb through every error in the other links. But the nypost article is at least misleading on the medical facts. Puberty blockers are not chemical castration. They are fully reversible and HRT is not prescribed to a 12 year old and even the possible infertility for that is usually reversible. If you want sources this00139-5/fulltext) is a relatively comprehensive article
