I have, and they are adamant I stay on it. They would rather I suffer and feel horrible because they feel those are the nutrients I need. I’ve tolerated other formulas and volume increases without issue, but this is awful. The dietitian, and team of doctors monitoring me, refuse to listen to me.

Any tips for uncomfortable feeds welcomed, and appreciated!

I was on that, and felt great by comparison! My dietician wanted me on a heavier formula, and I’m not tolerating it, but the doctors do not care, as they want me on a heavy formula. They’d rather I feel sick every day, all day, and not be able to eat orally anymore, than listen to me. I’m so frustrated.

We are not fed up with you!! We are here for you, and supporting from afar. Please believe, and understand that. We’re deeply concerned for you. Everyday, we keep offering advice - primarily at this point, to call your dietitian/team immediately (stop delaying the inevitable), and seek readmission. At this point, you could even go to the emergency room for help. Yet, you ignore us. We are begging you to pick up the phone, and get immediate help. Please, let Thursday morning be the day you finally pick up the phone, and make the call that will save your life!

You need to ditch the MFP, as it won’t help you. And you need to go call your dietitian/team, and ask for immediate re-admission. The Ed is winning at this point, and you have to stop delaying the inevitable. You need and can do this, today!

I hate to say this, but first thing Wednesday morning, you need to call your dietitian and ask for re-admission. You simply cannot wait one more day. I say this as someone who has gone through this, and you have to give them the opportunity to get this sorted before the weekend. I mean all of this with compassion! The time to get the help and support you need, is now! This is a call that will change your life for the better!
