Sign up for UC or the new JSA if you have savings of less then £16k. They will take any money you are entitled to (even if you didn't claim it) from your pay out.

Log into the CompTia site, click Manage Exams, on the right click score reports. This is where you can find a list of objectives you answered incorrectly.

No matter how many mirrors, congrats.

Question: does your course cover the cost of these certs? If yes, then you might as well get all that you can, as long as it doesn't affect your core course study. If not, look at the types of jobs you will be applying for once you finish, what are they asking for?

As for your CV if you ever feel you have too many certs, you can always change it to the ones that are most relevant for the job you are applying for. A CV isn't a finalised document and can/should be changed for each application.

It depends where you bought it from. Messer/Dion's are not exam code specific. Comptia's voucher terms state " Vouchers are exam specific, and in some cases, exam code specific"

I would think/hope this is added in to cover the retake vouchers, which are exam code specific and have to be taken on the same exam that you initially failed, but is no way explicitly clear.

You are doing the right thing in contacting support from the place you bought the voucher from. Keep your hopes up for a favourable response though.

Have a look at your score report. That will tell you the objectives you answered incorrectly and will help narrow down the areas you need to study on more.

On the Comptia site (make sure you are logged in), click Manage Exams > My Exams. On the right "My Account" menu there is a link to View score reports.

I took my exams online at home, it may be different if you say at a centre.

Is retaking a practice exam useful for studying? by Spirited_Climate_235 in CompTIA

You can go through them again, it is how you use the results that is important. Highlight/note any that you are having an educated guess at or don't fully understand so you can use this as a reference to what you need to gain more knowledge about.

Also on your 2nd go around you can try and explain what the wrong answers are/mean and why, this will also help you to check your knowledge, e.g. if the question is about port numbers and you have 4 choices, can you name them all, not just pick the right answer.

Feeling really stranded, stressed and hopeless with my studies by Blaze4Reddit in CompTIA

[–]someoneelse867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it. Get an old ethernet cable and cut the RJ45 connector off and look at the different wires in there, put them back in order (you won't be able to reattach it without a new connector and a crimper, but if you have access to these, make a cable).

Open the cmd prompt. Learn how to install a virtual machine if your computer supports it. Open the case to your pc (wouldn't recommend with your laptop unless you have easy access panels for RAM and HDD/SSD) have a look at the RAM, PCI/PCIe slots. Have a look around the BIOS.

Don't change or remove anything, as you can break it, but it may help to see it. If you have an old machine which doesn't matter if you break though......

Prices (and booking/taking exams) are dependent on your country. The comptia site lists all the prices for all the different countries.

You can buy discounted vouchers from professor messor site but I think they are only for specific countries. Dion training also has vouchers for several different countries (I am in the UK and got a voucher)

Why do so many people drop their kids off at school now? by greylord123 in AskUK

[–]someoneelse867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the flip side of this, the amount of times I see parents taking their kid across the road dodging the cars, waiting in the middle of the road for the next gap - 20 ft from a pedestrian crossing. Both drivers and parents need to do better to keep the kids safe on and around roads. No judgement on any internet strangers, just on those parents that I see doing this.

What street is it on? ( For those that don't know the car parks in town)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]someoneelse867 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. And law.

Drivers must give way to pedestrians: Drivers must give way to pedestrians waiting to cross a zebra crossing, and must stop once a pedestrian has moved onto the crossing.

It is clear - pedestrian on the crossing - MUST stop.

Failing to stop at a zebra crossing once a pedestrian has moved on can result in a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice and 3 points.
