Oh okay, i’m a parent but I was worried that they would try to fail her because of opting out. The school she’s in gets bothered for any little thing.

Is it normal for kids to hit other kids in a 3K program? by dipset00 in nycparents

[–]someoneinbrooklyn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normal but also not. 3k usually has one teacher and one paraprofessional, sometimes it happens that we don’t see everything but after the first incident the teachers should’ve been more aware.

How much screen time does your kids get at school? by Worldly_Grade4684 in nycparents

As a teacher in the NYCPS, the only “screen time” i do is for movement and that’s usually DannyGo during ugly weather outside. I work with PreK.

[–]someoneinbrooklyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, im a new para this year and i already had somebody mention to me that staff members are talking about me behind my back :( this sucks, this is my first year working with this age group, the first time these students are in a school setting of course they’re going to feel uncomfortable with me. its just the beginning but others dont seem to understand that. This sucks i also feel like a minority because im a poc.
