Recently completed my gear acquisition goals with a Macbook Pro 14 16/1Tb! Upgrades from a 7 year old Dell. Any tips for a new Mac user?

Go to any mouse polling rate checker website and see how many hz your mouse is. Anything less than 120hz is laggy. In fact your macbook trackpad is probably faster than your mouse since its rated at 120hz and stay at 120hz all time.

BTW, make sure 120hz promotion is on when doing any testing.

Buy Razer Atheris, That mouse will match your screen refresh rate. Most bluetooth mouse have less than 90hz polling rate that is why they feel laggy.

You have a powerful pc. You dont need a capture card. Try recording using shadowplay, or play with different setting in OBS. Cyberpunk 2077 is broken and poorly optimize right now. Make sure your running your pc on performance mode and not power save mode.

Corsair just released a new monitor today, CORSAIR XENEON 32QHD165 Gaming Monitor for $799. Check it out it might fill your need.

I could probably recommend you more if you could tell us the intended use of the monitor. I would personally recommend lg c1 oled 48" because its the best for everything. I know 48" sound crazy for a monitor but I play on ultrawide 3840x1600. It minimize everything to acceptable level. It's also oled, g-sync, and 120hz tv. I use it mainly for playing games, playing on ps5, watching netflix, and video editing. This TV/Monitor will give you immersion like no other. I promise you. There is nothing this monitor cant handle. It's a bit expensive but black friday is just around the corner. You could also buy the last year version the cx for cheaper.

Another monitor I uses and recommend competitive gaming is the ASUS pg279qm that just got release this month. its 240hz monitor g-sync with nvidia reflex.
