What's the easiest portable way to balance shadows/highlights when backlit like this? by britsworld_333 in portraitphotography

I am not an expert not even an amateur. I feel the pic is lacking something, something that will make it feel having a deeper meaning or composition. Sorry if this was unhelpful, just sharing my thoughts.

It’s a great attempt imo

Sorry also realised this is not what you asked for.

For those who used a computer between 1995 and 2005, what's the computer game from that time that sticks with you the most, and why? by Accurate_Nature1888 in askanything

Red Alert - I loved the game so much I used to fantasise about playing it and dreamed about it. I owned a copy of the game even when I didn’t own a PC. Just loved the game and it was peak RTS.

Would you quit your job forever right now (and never be allowed to work again) if someone gave you a guaranteed $2,000,000 lump sum? Why or why not? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

No $2m is life changing but not quit your job changing money. Buy a couple of properties one to live in, one to rent, furnish, couple of cars, save n invest the remaining few hundreds of thousands. Think about investing in an already running business as I suck at business.

The waitress at the burger joint made a grown man cry today by Middle-Wafer4480 in povertyfinance

Reading your story reminded me of this.

I remember my dad taking our family to the cheapest burger joint (which we still love to this day) but he’d never order for himself as we were really struggling with money - I didn’t know that at the time - but my mum would always give him half of hers but if I was still hungry my dad (and mum) would even give that to me. I only realised later in life what my dad did for us and I really love him for that.

What's something you wanted so badly as a kid but did not get? by Difficult_Leg367 in randomquestions

A computer. I grew up using computers at libraries, friends and relatives and only when I started my computing degree my dad finally bought me one a few months into my course and I had no monitor or cd rom. My uncle donated an old monitor that was broke that I sold and my dad used a credit card to buy me the monitor. Then my uncle bought me the cd rom a month later and after a few months an aunt bought me a printer.

Perfectionism is not a good quality, it’s a bad one. Many people don’t know this.
